Round prop is lined under 7.5-125 or so. I feel Ponce can stop this in the second round if desired and I'll tell you why. Fight is a superbantam-122 lbs. This IS Ponce's weight class. Reynaldo has been fighting at 116-118 or so. He hasn't fought since last November where he lost a UD to a guy with a not so great KO%. He went 12 rounds back in '05 to another guy with a low whack %. Other than those two fights he has fought bottom dwellers. Ponce just KO'd a guy in the first round back in August of this year. Ponce has like a 96% KO ratio. Why this fight is being made is the only reason I don't send it in on the under 7.5 rounds. Reynaldo hung for 12 with guys that aren't KO artists. Any way, I see a brutal KO by Ponce, hopefully in under 7 rounds. To sum up: Reynaldo is 33 years old; hasn't fought in 11 months and is moving up in weight versus a true banger. What is the rational here? GLTA.

Good to see you back frankie

I can't argue with that logic. When I looked at this fight, the first thing I noticed was the substancial size difference. I wondered the exact same thing. I understand De Leon taking a tuneup fight, but why against a guy who's not even a legit 118 lb'er.

The only possible problem I can see with the under is if Reynaldo is another Cory Spinks type of fighter combined with a great chin. If the guy is fast on his feet with a good defence and decides to runs all night...DeLeon could struggle finding him early, De Leon is pretty slow.

However, at odds of -125 it seems like a must play given the size difference. Only a matter of time. I'll put a little on that one myself...thanks for posting.

If I remember right, you have a little riding on Pavlik this weekend. You still big on the banger?

Lowest I saw was -190 on the 7.5 under. Went as high as -245. These clearly obvious fights have burnt me in the past, namely WHY fight this guy?
Sure, he has gone 12 twice, but versus light punches. He is 33 and moving up. A guy maybe puts on weight as the days moves along, but that does not mean he brings more punching power along with it. It's seems an anomaly that Ponce is fighting so soon. He trained for his last fight and it goes one round. Is he taking this fight without having trained hardly at all? Is he thinking he will walk through this guy? Or is he just going to continue where he left off? Moving on to Taylor-Pavlik, Manny S. says it won't go one round!!! Geez, is this delusional or what? Taylor did'nt want to take take chances versus a slapper like Spinks so what makes me think he will go balls to the wall versus a true hard hitting Pavlik? My only question here is if Pavlik's corner sees it really isn't going his way, will they suggest he back off and save himself to fight another day, or is Pavlik willing and determined to let it all hang out regardless of the complexion of the fight? I think Pavlik goes for broke no matter what. Yea, I'll stay on Pavlik for a few units. One more thing; Taylor will want to shine as it only makes his stock move up in price when he signs to fight Calzaghe/Kessler. Maybe we see a stoppage, but odds are against it.

More on Ponce weighing 123.5. Weight limit for superbantam is 122? He came in over? This concerns me. I see no mention of another try at the scales. What's the story here. Is this NOT for a title shot or what? I'm mystyfied.

Right tony. After further investigation I found out the limit is 126 lbs. and Ponce says making 122 so soon is difficult, thereforeI have BAILED from this one. I am playing the over 6.5+120. This one has some vague conotations I don't like. Sorry; I should have done my homework before running my mouth. :scared
