In the nearer future, we have Clottey-Judah. Zab Judah keeps acting like an idiot. He just can't/won't learn. Clottey is super hungary and a no nonsense fighter. HE WILL WIN HERE. I anticipate making a decent size bet on Clottey. Months down the road is Pavlik-Calzaghe. Joe Calzaghe is in for the fight of his life. He is in great condition for a 36 year old guy, 10 yeras Pavlik's senior. I see Pavlik opening up a 2-1 fav here, if not more even. As far as Clottey-Judah, the line will be tight. Hopefully Judah is favored. The vallue there is huge. Oh, did I mention, I like Pavlik?

If the fight is in Wales, I would expect Calzaghe to be favored. If it's in the states, I still think Cal would be favored but it would be closer to a pick em. I think the Ghost could make things very uncomfortable for the Welshman. :00x20

Clottey should get by Super Judah. Judah is past his best and Clottey is a strong and steady practitioner. :0corn

US bettors have a hard time finding UK shops that will take our action. Calzaghe will be bet up surely across the pond. How to bet and take advantage I don't know. Do you?

You may be correct. It may be just wishful thinking on my part!

Supposed to be August 2008. Go to Boxrec and you should see it when you search for Clottey or Judah.

There are more lines posted for boxing off-shore than here in Vegas. All a guy can do is check both and get the better numbers on something you really like. Sorry I could'nt be more specific, but that's what I do.

"the bunker"
the calzaghe fight will be in the u.k...i`m sure of it...and he`ll be favored if that`s the case...

clottey will also be favored...probably a prohibitive favorite...

if a guy like baldomir can impose his will on judah, clottey, with that iron chin, will walk judah down and possibly make him cry....

Even if Calzaghe and Pavlik did happen and it was in the US Calzaghe would be favored. What weight would the fight be at? 168?

It would be the dumbest move Pavlik could make. When fighting at the catch weight of 166 with Taylor it was clear that his punch doesnt have the pop on it that it does when fighting at 160. Pavlike NEEDS TO STAY at 160 - that is his best fighting weight and he can dominate at that weight. It would be a horrible move for him to fight Calzaghe, he would lose.

Calzaghe might not even be able to make 168 any longer - if they did fight it might be at a catch weight of like 170. I love Pavlik but he would lose that fight.

After one fight at 166 you notice this about his lack of punching power Almly? He fought the same guy for crying out loud and a more focused guy at that. The thought of Cal running right through Pavlik is comical.

Well lets see, he hurt Taylor and knocked him out at 160 but at 166 never really hurt him once. I didn't say that Calzaghe would "run right thru" Pavlik, what I am saying is that he would decision Pavlik.

And I'll put my money where my mouth is on that. Will you? What are you saying? That Pavlik will beat Calzaghe at 170? Pavliks height and power advantage will diminish somewhat at 170 and you have never seen how Pavlik fights against a fighter with great speed.

Pavlike destroys people that will stand and slug it out with him. No one has seen how he will deal with speed.

I love Pavlik, he is one of my favorite fighters. But I doubt he could beat Calzaghe at 170.

Taylor has fast hands. I don't know about "great" speed. Pavlik is 26 years old. Not yet at his maximum weight. He will continue to grow into higher weight classes. Also, as with Taylor, Pavlik WILL catch Calzaghe at some point. He has done this almost religously versus all his opponents. Lets see how Joe handles a good crack. Pavlik throws lots of punches. Joe's work rate is no greater than Pavlik's, or maybe just a tad. He fought Taylor differently the second time KNOWING Taylor would adjust his approach as he had to box and keep Pavlik at the end of his punches. Pavlik also fought a more measured fight in Taylor II. I still feel Pavlik is the chalk here.

When are you guys going to get it? Calzaghe is the P4P best out there. Keep betting against him, you'll learn.

It's a tough fight for Pav. Not sure why he's in such a hurry to move to 168. Pav is one of boxings most prized possessions...blue-collar likable white American that can actually fight. He doesn't need Zags and he doesn't need to tackle 168. IMO, there is too much emphasis to move up a div and win multi titles. There's nothing wrong with staying @160 and owning the division for a few yrs. At this point, I'd give Zags and his speed the edge here. If Zags stays on his feet, he wins a dec. I think Pav would have to knock him out. I see Zags opening as a -150 betting favorite regardless of the venue.

I wouldn't expect good odds on Clot. The cat is out of the bag on this one.

Well, as this fight may or may not happen, and we can go back and forth on this ad infinitum, my last word on it is IF Calzaghe is favorite, I am going to make a large wager on Pavlik, period. Peace out.
