05/17....spadafora/dorin over 11.5 rds(-180)........my only worry is a dorin cut or head butt....they should pound each other for 12....not much power either way....

05/17....sharmba mitchell over ben tackie(-192).....tackie is tough.....mitchell can`t afford to stumble....should be to quick and slick...

05/17...lacy/oshana under 4.5(-120).....oshana`s been stopped by sheika and thomas tate in 3.....mixes it up....not a good idea with huge puncher like lacy...

05/03...jorge arce/melchor cob castro over 10(-188)....castro very long in tooth....but is very awkward and has never been stopped....he should hang vs the younger guy...be careful....arce is 6 inches taller.....and castro is at least 35....humberto gonzales and michael carbajal couldn`t stop castro,though.....gonzales went 24 rounds with him...

like the top 2 best..all 4 are pretty good

throw ins....not as strong....

05/09...mccline/shufford over 9(-125)....mccline`s not a big puncher....shufford more of a boxer.....if shufford has some heart,he should hang....

05/01....sahaprom/hugo dianzo over 10(-300).....i may not play this....hate laying 3-1....it is the play,though...

06/07.....gatti/ward under 10(-120)....this is more a gut than anything else....can`t give you a reason....just believe that these guys aren`t going to go 3 full fights without a swelling or a cut bad enough to be a factor.....a hunch....nothing more.....not a heavy price to lay.....for chits and giggles...

missed out on forrest -280 over mayorga.....waited for it to drop some more....it went from-300 to -280 to -350!....i hesitated and lost....if it goes below -300 again,i may bite......

the top few are pretty good...g.l.

adding

adding

eric morales/bobby boy velardez under 9.5 rounds(-130)....morales` brother diego had velardez down 4 times in their recent bout in tijuana before being disqualified in the 9th....was alot of animosity between the 2 camps.....morales said velardez disrespected his brother and his hometown of tijuana and plans on punishing velardez.....i just hope he doesn`t carry him to inflict more punishment.....not a slam dunk as velardez doesn`t punch hard but is tough....another throw in....the odds aren`t outrageous....not a big play...morales isn`t stopping guys at the higher weight.....wtf, another small play....very small as velardez has never been stopped...

Great post weisel

Great post weisel

I had read similar info on boxing insider.com and also read all the periodicals from Tijuana. (I am from the area) I know it's biased, but all of the reports state that Morales has taken this fight as a personal affair. I am going to lay some wood on the under because Morales will come out and feel this guy up and then lay the smack down.

I think the Gatti-Ward u10 is a good bet.

After watching GWII, I think Gatti figured him out a bit and probably fought the first fight wrong. He was a punch away from putting Ward down in the third (in the second fight) and really almost had him out.

But, also, "NUMBER 3" is a big thing with fights, Ali-Frazier, Holyfield-Bowe. I'm guessing that HBO told them in November, "another big payday for GW3 next spring if you do it again" but I wonder if they would have a similar offer for a GW4...I wonder. I don't really know how it works.

Ward showed as much heart as you've ever seen in a boxing match in those two bouts. He's certainly not about money, but I really wonder if he can do it again if there's not another big offer on the table. Those kinds of performances take a lot out of a man.

Thanks GW. Nice call on Toney by the way. You were on him early and I got a very nice price on him. Thanks again.

leaning richie la montgagne fighting at home in new england over 36 year old grady mateen(-125)....lamontagne is no bargain but i`ll take a shot with what is basically homecourt....mateen is an old veteran....because the odds are reasonable and we hit with the over on the veraphrom/dianzo fight last night....not big....as i said, lamontagne is nothing special...

probably a go on ray oliveira/elio ortiz over 10(-265)....it`s a play but the odds are steep...i hate laying those odds...you have to wager a reasonable amount to get any return....i can understand passing these 2.... i may pass on those odds....unfortunately,it probably is a decent play....be careful...i probably shouldn`t have posted these....

i would never recommend laying those odds

i would never recommend laying those odds

that said, this is as close to a slam dunk as it gets....i reiterate......a cut could cost you a fortune....i don`t have "nickcage sized balls";) ,but if i did, this would be one i`d consider....campas is way over the hill....has short arms....is slow....has very little defense(and those are his good qualities)...if de la hoya loses this,it makes buster douglas over tyson look passe`.....again,i don`t encourage anybody lay those odds....that scares me to death...you have some big ones,my friend....much bigger than i ever had.......if you try it,i will hope you win....best of luck..

finish the weekend 4-1

finish the weekend 4-1

unfortunately, arce gets cut in the 5th vs castro.....i`m convinced this was an easy winner at over 9.5 rounds if not for the accidental butt.....whataya gonna do?.....

morales toys with skill-challenged bobby boy velardez and takes him out in 5....easier winner than i thought....

a good weekend........should have had a sweep....

A decent enough nights boxing. How much did this fight cost on TV in the USA?? We had this fight free on sattelite TV over here in the UK!

Hard to be too impressed with Morales. That opponent was totally out of his depth at this level. I got the impression Morales switched off for parts of the fight, but his class was way too much. I do not believe for one minute the after fight interview with HBO.....Morales says he wont fight Barrera at featherweight, but I think a few million dollars can easily change that statement.

Oscar De La Hoya gave his opponent a beating as expected. I thought he was very impressive.....the speed and accuracy was spot on, and he gave a fight worth watching at least (these so called straight forward fights are not always like this). Kind of looks funny doesnt it, that shortly after their man goes over the vegas line of six and a half rounds, they take him away from further punishment. Not suggesting they lumped on their man, but doesnt it make you think??

i`ll bet

i`ll bet

a lotta guys are pullin` their hair out on that over/under....i had absolutely no feel for that prop(thank god)....de la hoya doesn`t look strong at jr middle....i `m not as sure as i was that he beats shane in september.....oscar looked quick, but was pushed all over the ring.....my brother and i were asking where the big left hook was...did he really hurt that left hand?....i guess he probably did....he used it sparingly....

well that sucks

well that sucks

shufford outboxing mccline and decides to go toe to toe....gets knocked down, goes against the ropes without holding and tony orlando stops the fight prematurely(imo).....oh well.....4-2 on this card....both losses sort of flukey(that`s what every gambler says:shrug: )....the better ones upcoming....

did something i never do

did something i never do

laid pretty big wood on eric harding -340 over glencoffe johnson....johnson is very tough...somewhat of a journeyman...but a "high rent" journeyman...capable of upsetting the applecart...

harding,in my eyes is a very, very difficult nut to crack...his 2 losses are to roy jones(retired in the 10th due to injury...gave jones hell) ...and was k.o.`ed by antonio tarver in the 5th(i believe)....he handled tarver easily in the first fight....and was beating the snot out of tarver in the rematch until he got caught....he is a much better fighter than tarver(imo)....

anything can happen,but,i love harding as a fighter...a lefty,taller than johnson(6`1" to 5`10").....and younger(30 to 34)....

never lay these odds...love harding coming back off upset loss to tarver....

the guy is a slick boxer...

i`ll be jumping for joy or crying....

also laying a little on over 10.5 rounds(at -230)...

i may go down in flames here if johnson pulls the upset....we`ll see..

at these odds,PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK...

synopsis

synopsis

biggest play.....harding -340....pretty big

next tier...spadafora/dorin over 11.5....and mitchell -180

these 3 are my biggest plays...the ones i can really recommend...

i also seriously see harding-johnson going over....

dorin getting cut or mitchell`s knee going out are the concerns...
