Would not lay the wood on Hall. He has been
stopped 4 times (all after the 10th round but
got whooped either way). Letterlough is 19-3
with 18 ko's and is fighting close to his roots.
He is also an ESPN2 favorite. I expect a good
showing from him. Will go ahead and play
Letterlough at +230 for one unit.

I would leave the over/under alone. Both have
excellent power but neither has been stopped
before the 6.5 rounds.

Tough Loss
Letterlough floored Hall early in the
first round, but the ref was looking at
Julian while Hall stumbled all over the
place. I think there's a good chance the
the fight would have been stopped had
the ref seen the way Hall reacted to the
huge punch. Either way Letterlough
didn't finish the job. Oh Well.

Adding:
Juarez over Diaz -485 1 unit
Juarez-Diaz over 9.5 -135 1 unit

Rocky Juarez 16-0 (12)
Antonio (Chelo) Diaz 24-3 (11)

Notes:
#1 Fight is in Rocky's home town of
Houston,TX.

#2 Diaz has only been stopped once
before the o/u 9.5 rounds.

Juarez over Diaz -485 1 unit
For obvious reasons.

Over 9.5 -135 1 unit
This is a small step up in competition
for Rocky. Although he has some power,
most of Rocky's ko's have come to weak
opposition. He went the distance with
his toughest opponent to date, Hector
Sanchez, also in Houston TX. And like
I said Diaz has only been stopped once
before 10 rounds.

i don`t think juarez has a problem beating antonio diaz....i don`t have any odds on this(oly and pinnacle are falling asleep)........as i`ve said, though,i can`t lay real heavy odds.....

but,if i had your stones,i`d have to think juarez handles diaz:D....looks like money in the bank....

the other fight is interesting....i`m not a big juan diaz fan.....i`ve seen him hurt in several fights and i expect he`ll go down when he makes the big move up.....the problem is i don`t know much about francisco lorenzo....nice record.....only loss was to a very solid guy(victoriano sosa by decision)......but all of his wins are against very questionnable competition.....

diaz is working on borrowed time....i`m just not sure if lorenzo is for real....my guess is that diaz` people are smart enough to keep him protected until the bigger money bouts come about....diaz has been on t.v. more than gloria allred and the networks seem to have invested a good deal in his career....and this is his hometown....

WOW

WOW

That was the closest call I have ever had
in boxing. I swear the ko punch landed
with 1:30 left in the round!
I'll take it.

That makes four straight winning weeks!

whoa

whoa

i know 2 guys that were s-ittin` bricks in that 9th round........congrats b.l.....i don`t know whether to be happy for you or sad for fletch......that was as close as i`ve seen....if the ref jumps right in after the knockdown it might go the other way....but he hesitated for a couple seconds.....i don`t think fletch will lose any sleep after hitting a 5 unit play on juarez......

a very sweet win ...you both had the balls to lay the heavy wood on juarez.....i was a little surprised that he looked a bit lackadaisical....doesn`t matter...a win is a win...

the more i see juan diaz, the more i smell a payday coming for us....this guy is very protected....the opponent tonight was not a legit lightweight and couldn`t punch his way out of a baggie....wide punches that lacked snap....that`s why he was chosen....yet,diaz still looked lousy.... let`s hope his train keeps running downhill....we`re gonna cash when he fights a live body.....

good night.....congrats....some good ones next week....

Thanks for the props, but like I said
in Fletcher's thread, the ref would have
been way out of line if he stopped the fight
without giving Diaz a second look.

In my opinion Diaz had a good chance of
winning on points, and stopping the fight
in the last round without giving Diaz a
chance to recover would have been
absolutely wrong!

i hear ya

i hear ya

i wasn`t making a judgement on what would have been the correct thing to do....just saying that i`ve seen refs jump in and wave the fight off after devestating knock-outs..and that was a devastating shot....and with it being in houston, and being a relatively close fight to some observers,a good way to keep juarez` undefeated skein in tact....

just an observation...not a judgement....i hear what you are saying...

I apologize for being a little defensive.
Its just that I have had my share of bad
beats and its nice to finally be on the
winning end of a close call.

Interesting take on Juan Diaz, who has
a decent left hook to the body but thats
about it. I thought the same thing about
Elvir Muriqi after he beat Crawford. Both
fighters are getting alot of credit they
don't deserve. Hopefully we can take
advantage of some of these pretenders.

Note:
Juan claimed he wasn't feeling well before
and during the fight.
