"ghost" lines

I just got back from a Strip casino, one of the conglomerate MGM-Mirage, Bellagio, Luxor to name a few. Robert Walker at the Mirage was reliable when it came to posting boxing lines. Even Micheal Katz's article in this weeks gaming news is asking the same question. Maybe the powers that be are a little nervous and jerky on these. A buddy, a sports book director, says they will hold off to a day or two before as with these fights only sharps bet them and they get punished.

Lines hardly ever come out on Tuesday. It's usually Wednesday and now and then if something comes up it takes him until Thursday. Hell, I didn't mind the last couple of weekends, MMA has been very good to me while the Toney decision was not. Cro Cop-Silva was my single biggest win ever (in any sport) though :scared Think I am improving with MMA :Yep:

Unemployed teacher! A true poet is in our midst. I have been constantly looking for these lines as there is much copy regarding these two under card bouts, and we need to get the gold. My guy says he will call whenever the Mirage sends over the goods. I am really surprised the offs haven't hung up numbers on such outstanding match ups.

With all due respect...there were no lines to be made last week so he had two weeks to prepare. I'm not bitching, just responding to the post, I figured the lines would open today as well.

I got cleaned on peter by dec too, but I was lucky that mirko's line came back down, made a bundle on that one.

who else did you have for the grand prix? I should've would've could've took barnett over +200 but like a idiot didn't, gotta take even fights like that. still working on my game.

as for this week's lines it should be a huge weekend.

Keep in mind that there was no boxing lines but there were a good bit of MMA lines. He didn't have any boxing stuff to do but there is more lines than just boxing.

I bet Cro Cop some early and when the line came back down I unloaded on it. That was my only bet. My betting style is usually to bet big on what I like and not bet stuff that I am not to confident about. I warned a lot of people that Barnett matched up well with Nog style wise but nobody listened and that line went up like crazy. That being said I couldn't bet barnett I thought the fight was to close where as I felt Cro Cop would beat Silva easy.

MGM-Mirage opened Guzman-120; Vazquez-175. I think I saw Guzman open as high as -180-190 or so. So it seems the off-shore guys like Guzman big and Vasquez not as much. So much for generic lines. Initially I see lots of fireworks with both on the under card; in other words, brawls. By tomorrow I'll make up my if I have a strong opinion on the round props. Need more time.

that's how I started, betting only the ones I really liked. thanks to box I've come to respect underdog plays with close fights, those who are overhyped or inconsistent, but still don't play as many as I should, which when they win drive me nuts. sylvia v orlovski 3 fit that bill.

Boxlox makes a lot more plays than I do, different things work for different people. Using the amounts of money I use that might work OK, but I would have a very short life. :142smilie Seems like most of the underdogs I usually like are "under" plays. Now and then I like betting against hyped prospects as well (Joel Julio).
