I have no doubt that Calzaghe will destroy Manfredo, but hard to imagine Manfredo being ko'd at this weight as he has a solid chin and a lot of heart...Maybe ref stops the fight for excessive ass kicking on Calzaghe's part?

Good point. But looking at Manfredo's resume, I think he is in way over his head. You may be right though. A sustained barrage round after round, may prompt the ref to implement the "mercy" rule.

I don't follow that logic, Manfredo usualy fights at 154 to 160, now he's fighting a big puncher at 168.

Did not realize Manfredo was moving up to 168lbs...I agree with your logic...

You can probably apply same logic for Corrales, except that we already know he can be found and has a suspect chin.

To be fair, Manfredo moved up to 168 two fights ago after losing the contender rematch. But the two guys Peter has fought at 168 were both bums


Its very interesting that you're not optimistic about Diego's chances this weekend. Normaly you'd be talking up your man, telling us that the big + money is a great bet. I think somethings goin' on here, you either know something or feel something, I think this might be foreshadowing a Corrales ass whoopin'

Lol, well I am not gonna bet on Clottley laying 230...

I have seen Corrales beat the @#$@ out of a highly respected up and comer junior welterweight while sparing before...

I am excited about watching it...Being in the west coast I will have to turn off internet and cell phone for a couple of hours to watch the fight on a delayed basis.
