Well, OK, it's down the road a tad, and I posted this before but it was postponed. So I say again, I am ALL OVER P.Williams in this one. Williams is the hungary dog in this one. He comes to fight and must be drooling on this one. I loved Pavlik as he was on the way up, but I think Kelly has lost the eye of the tiger, and is in way tough here versus Williams. This will probably open at or near a pick-em. If I get +odds on Williams it will be an early Christmas present.

As I read more press on this one, I have the feeeling Pavlik will surely open as a 2-1 chalk; at least close anyway. Pavlik is pointing out that Williams will find out what the REAL middleweight division is all about. His camp is all about saying Williams should stay at 147 and has no business playing with the big boys. GOOD. More talk like that means better odds on Williams. Lots of variables here, but I truly believe Williams is the more hungary guy here. I think Kelly is happy with his big new house; indoor pool and such. Desire/will to win may be huge here. I'm seeing history repeat as in Jermain Taylor, losing and moving up to 168. I see the same scenario here for Pavlik. I will continue to update this thread until the bell rings.

Frank, aren't you a bit worried how easily Williams gets tagged ?
I remember seeing him eat punches vs Matthysse as if they were donoughts.
What will hapen if Pavlik regularly finds a way home for his right?

Well, if Williams does get tagged by Pavlik's lethal right, he goes to sleep. I think/hope he has smarted up since then.

I am constantly on the lookout for a line on this one as it may call for a trip to AC if the numbers are favorable. Ergo, if anyone actually sees a # posted please advise. So far nothing in Vegas, but the offshores may line this one first. Heck, 5Dimes had Vegas high school football lines posted a day or two ago.

Thanks much your ghostness. You are the info wizard around here. Nothing in Vegas as far as my travels so far. If the fight was here at one of the bigger venues the casino hosting would have it up most likely. "Eye of the tiger"- I say Williams has it and Pavlik, at this point in time, does not. Also, Ghost, you hit the nail on the head, as it did open even. Maybe you should move here(Vegas) and get a job with LVSC (Las Vegas Sports Consultants). $$$ is coming in on Williams now. I'm depressed. I was hoping for a nice doggie #, but it isn't happening. I'll keep shopping for Vegas lines as I am/was plannng a trip to AC to see it in person. Wishfull thinking on my part.

Williams is gonna destroy Kelly. I never thought much of him to begin with and after bhop put hte clinic on him its obvious he's nothing special. He couldnt even make the fight competitive with a 43yr old bhop. williams will pick him apart. He SHOULD be the favorite in this one.

"the bunker"
i always thought that a pavlik/abraham fight would be interesting......a real fan-friendly fight and a good style match-up...

two guys without a ton of footwork...both can whack.....

i wish this fight had been made prior to this tourney...it would have been a natural......

this from steve kim's blog:

"According to wytv.com, Kelly Pavlik is still having problems with the staph infection in his left-hand and because of that, his Dec. 5th date with Paul Williams has been post-poned. I?ve been told that Top Rank is scrambling to keep this fight alive, but it?s not clear if Williams? side will just move on to other things

At this point, can you blame them?( Oct. 21st, 11:45 am, Pacific)"

Thanx thong. I just took the bike all the way over to the "M" to check lines. They have PW-170, too much for me to play anyways. Man, I smelled $$$$ on this one.
