Winky Wright over Shane Mosley-230
5 units.

This will be my biggest play of the year so far, with another coming up if this one wins.

Bottom line Winky is too big a fighter for Shane. How many times in history has a fighter been dominated the way Mosley was and come back to win the rematch. Really none that I cant think of. Maybe im missing one in history, but Shane will need a Boston Redsox of 04 miralce to pull this one out.

I will say that Shane is one of my favorite fighters, and I thought hard about just not betting it, because I wanted to cheer my man on. But the way my NFl season is going, I cant pass up a line like this. Way too good to pass up.

Im not surprised that it was bet down, as Mosley is one of the few household names out there, and we know that wright isnt one, at least not yet. Prob not the hardcore boxing fans betting on him, but who knows.

I must admitt I was taken back at the Kosta line. It seemed everywhere I read people liked Mitchell. I did hear that an Aussie book opened Kosta -300'sh and most was scalp money. I mentioned that in an earlier thread here. I study this day and night as its my life pretty much, and see alot of srtrange things go on. I often get wondering if alot of posters (not here, but in general)actually bet, because depite having EXCELLENT and respected opinions, the line often skyrockets in the other direction. Anyway, who knows. I may get bet back uo late and need Mosely, but anyone that didnt see the 1st bout and is going by name recognition, will most likely pull the trigger on Mosely. Not that he can't win, but its one of those bouts where a guy seems to have the others number, kinda like Forrest/Mosely, Mayorga/Forrecst, and Mayorga/Lewis to name a few.

Thats exactly what it is. Holyfield-Tyson, Mosley-DeLahoya, Tarver-Jones, though Glen Johnson would bef to differ. Robinson-Gatti. And the list could go on for a while. This in my eyes, would be a huge upset. Much bigger than the line shows.

Mosley

Mosley

I'm going to have go to with Mosley on this one, but VERY small. If you remember before the last fight Shane has already had a deal to fight Tito which could of easily destracted him. Shane might also of been distracted about the BALCO situation. Also, I really like the choice of Joe Goosen working the corner. This is the biggest fight on Shane's career, and I expect him to bring his A game. Now will that be enough? I don't know, but at +210 I'll take it.

As a big fan of his, Ive been waiting for Shane to bring his A game since 2001. Hasnt done it yet. 135 or 140 I would never bet against the guy. His biggest thing at 135 was that he was just soo much stronger than the guys he fought. Overpowered all of them eventually. Look at his Ko ratio. He cant overpower these guys at 147 or 154, but its not stopping him from trying

Goosen knows Shane has no real power at 154. He'll be a more complete fighter this time around.

I'm with ya but not too big. The Goosen factor has to be considered here, I don't think Shanes dad was a very good trainer. We could see a big change in Shane with Goosen but I don't think it will matter.

Just caught a good price (-133) on Wright by 12 round decision at 5dimes so I played it small.

Pinnacle had Wright at -223 yesterday, I almost hit it but I wanted to see if it would go any lower. Now its at -257! I put a little on him at -245 at Oly just in case dimes and pinny stay where they are. Dimes is at -255 right now. I also put a small play on Mosley by 12 round decision at +410.

I think most would be shocked if Mosley won this one.... But if he is back to his old style, he may have a shot.... Im just happy that boxing gets a great fight and a night it can be proud. 2 great guys in the ring..... unlike that crap last week with Stone... Another great night next week too
