I'm amazed. I've only had 13 bets there - won 10 of them though ;) But ... WTF

I've heard of others having their Boyle accounts closed, but surely not after such a low amount of activity.

Well, that's two books struck off my List this week :nono:

Still hanging in there.Have only had 4 match bets (3-1) mostly been betting $10 place only wagers which I have not hurt them with "yet". Don't wager much there or Skybet because of difficulty funding and mostly just outrights.Did stop in Skybet and give em a little action on your beard matches today though.:)

I think books that flat out cancel accounts because of sharp players are missing the boat. The approach I would use is send them nice email and say Hey buddy we like ya but your killing us.
So were going to limit you to an amount we can live with.
Remember Mark Del how he would flag accounts and even a modest wager would move line automatically.
Nothing I would like better if I was a book is to have several sharps with limited action to shore up my lines.

Actually had the very same conversation with my boss shortly after I joined my sportsbook.

My argument was that no bookie should be able to close somebodys account, as the losing gamblers will always outweight the winners, so why cant the books have a dose of their own medicine, and get beat at what they do best. After a heated debate, he told me that within a year my opinion will change, and I have to admit that he was right.

The bookies are there to run a business, and it is perfectly within their rights to close their accounts, to protect that business. However, I agree with DTB that they should do it with a little more tact, or their other option would be to employ you

However, it is not hard to keep accounts with firms who close your accounts. Provided you have lots of friends, then it is easy to enough to get your bets on by using runners. These runners will normally be spotted, but as long as you have enough of them, then it is hard for the to track them down.

In my experience, closure after thirteen bets is a little premature, but if you are betting heavily then it is not unheard of. I would consider it as a private moral victory, but this is of no use if you cant bet that superb line they may be offering one week. ;)

Who was the other book that shut you down??

The problem is when you have a book that offers wagers you can't get anywhere else, eg Senior and LPGA matchups..Betandwin have some fantastic match -ups, but I can only bet ?10 a go...got frustrated last week and did a match bet five timer...four winners and a tie!

Quite a few books limiting me now...can only bet to take out ?500 at Hills (not much good on outright golf), Chandler also cutting me back, Sky started to as well, but they've upped my limit after a little persuasion. Beginning to think that going back to phones is a good idea, as I can usually get on there.

Mind you, looking at the way my golf picks are playing this week, they should be welcoming me with open arms.

DTB,
Mark Del & Camelot Sportsbook were indeed laughable. Matchup lines would move 10-15 cents when you made your wager and then when it was posted here and a few other people backed it as well, you could scalp your play quite easily

Crooky,
The other book I was mentioning was Gamebookers. I wasn't booted from there - we just have a dispute (now referred to IBAS) over the cancellation of a Seniors matchup on Monday - but I have withdrawn my balance and will never go back.
