I am not a Pats' fan but the 4 game suspension is a joke...I guess pot possesion and DUI can get a 3 game ban reduced to 2 games for Steelers RB Bell..:0003 Not to mention Rice's original ban for 2 games for punching his fiance last year...:0corn

they`re gonna bugger the squeelers opening night with Garoppalo(Jimmy or Janeane, doesn`t make a difference)........

still no secondary....

This might work to Patriots favor. Brady is no spring chicken and the 4 games will make for a short season. Might not be such a bad idea.

But how can a guy have 10,000 texts on his phone?

Just looked thru my text message app...I have 500+ texts with at least 10 people on ny galaxy5. My old phone would save only last 200 texts with any one person

You think? Seems like a lot to me.

"Tom, bring home a half gallon of milk."
"Ok Giesselle, do we need bread?"
"No, But you might want to get a can of tuna fish?"
"OK you got celery?"

"Tom I deflated the balls."
"Good work, lunch is on me tomorrow. Giessels making tuna!"

I guess it does add up.

Tom Brady's Statement

Tom Brady's Statement

I am very disappointed by the NFL?s decision to uphold the 4 game suspension against me. I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either.

Despite submitting to hours of testimony over the past 6 months, it is disappointing that the Commissioner upheld my suspension based upon a standard that it was ?probable? that I was ?generally aware? of misconduct. The fact is that neither I, nor any equipment person, did anything of which we have been accused. He dismissed my hours of testimony and it is disappointing that he found it unreliable.

I also disagree with yesterdays narrative surrounding my cellphone. I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances. As a member of a union, I was under no obligation to set a new precedent going forward, nor was I made aware at any time during Mr. Wells investigation, that failing to subject my cell phone to investigation would result in ANY discipline.

Most importantly, I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at anytime, anything related to football air pressure before this issue was raised at the AFC Championship game in January. To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.

To try and reconcile the record and fully cooperate with the investigation after I was disciplined in May, we turned over detailed pages of cell phone records and all of the emails that Mr. Wells requested. We even contacted the phone company to see if there was any possible way we could retrieve any/all of the actual text messages from my old phone. In short, we exhausted every possibility to give the NFL everything we could and offered to go thru the identity for every text and phone call during the relevant time. Regardless, the NFL knows that Mr. Wells already had ALL relevant communications with Patriots personnel that either Mr. Wells saw or that I was questioned about in my appeal hearing. There is no ?smoking gun? and this controversy is manufactured to distract from the fact they have zero evidence of wrongdoing.

I authorized the NFLPA to make a settlement offer to the NFL so that we could avoid going to court and put this inconsequential issue behind us as we move forward into this season. The discipline was upheld without any counter offer. I respect the Commissioners authority, but he also has to respect the CBA and my rights as a private citizen. I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight.

Lastly, I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support of family, friends and our fans who have supported me since the false accusations were made after the AFC Championship game. I look forward to the opportunity to resume playing with my teammates and winning more games for the New England Patriots.

So, why doesn't he sue the NFL then?

Maybe that was covered somewhere since I quit following this even before they suspended him for 4 games.

"Tom if you did nothing wrong why didn't you fully cooperate with the NFL?"

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
It appears Brady obstructed period.

Hillary doing the same thing on a much grander scale and she has a shot at being prez.....only in America.:0008

I think the 4 games is also an additional shot at Belechick and the organization for their past skirting of rules over the years.

The NFL initiating legal action in Manhattan was a very smooth move.

New England has zero secondary also. Not only did they lose Revis and Brandon Browner as well publicized. But they also lost their 3, 4,5 corners also. Kyle Arrington, Alfonso Denard and Butler.

Brady's first game back: Patriots at Colts for the Sunday night game. That scheduling dynamic couldn't possibly have been scripted better.

they have lost a lot of players, going be an interesting year in New England. The Brady story has exploded, but I think New England could be in some trouble this season even if he plays the whole year. As I mentioned their secondary is decimated, and it was not great in the first place. Mayo and Hightower are both coming back late from surgery, they got spikes to fill that hole, but he promptly got arrested and let go. Connolly easily their best offensive lineman, just unexpectedly retired. Ridley and Vareen are both gone at the running back position. Vince is gone in the middle, and their first round pick last year Dominique Easley has been a bust. Chandler Jones missed most of last year injured. Patriots mantra is always next man up, but they have so many holes it should be interesting. The defense is very vulnerable, only thing there isn't another quarterback in the AFC East to exploit that. Looking forward to heading up to camp tomorrow and see what's going on.
