TODAY'S PLAY
The Pick: My 80 Dime winner is the Detroit Lions.
The Line: The current line is -1 1/2 in Vegas and offshore as of 7:30 am EST. Be sure to shop around for the best line available.
Update: At 2:00 pm eastern time, the Lions are -2 points.
Going to ride them again here.
On the opening night of the NFL season I told the world don't. be surprised to see the Lions (+4 1/2) roll into Kansas City and win the game outright. THEY DID.
They came back home off that huge emotional win over the defending super bowl champs and fell flat losing to the Seahawks in OT 37-31.
The Lions were done in by losing the turnover battle 3-0 including a Jared Goff pick 6 in the loss. Seattle didn't win that game folks, the Lions beat themselves.
However last week they rebounded huge with a dominant 20-6 win over the Falcons holding Atlanta to 183 yards total offense (44 rushing/139 passing.)
Off that dominant win, they head to Green Bay to take on the Packers that came from 17-0 down in the 2nd half to beat the Saints 18-17.
Gun to my head, if Derek Carr doesn't get hurt early 3rd quarter, no way in hell Green Bay wins that game but once Jameis Winston came in, it was go time for the Pack.
Trust me folks, Jared Goff isn't Jameis Winston.
The Pack opened the season with a win over a bad Bears team and then lost by 1 at Atlanta before coming back home to beat the Saints.
For me folks it comes down to this: If you can go on the road and beat the defending world champs and Patrick Mahomes, you can handle Jordan Love.
End of story.
Give me the boys from Motown all night long tonight.
