What does anyone think of parlaying Atlanta plus under 6 1/2 tomorrow? Too much of a risk? I don't think I've ever seen 6.5 before but with Maddux and Johnson out there....who knows?

I don't fear the under. You are betting on two great pitchers to pitch great by betting the under. I'll take it.

No doubt freeze. . . pretty crappy planning IMO. . . everyone in Arizona will be at work listening to the game on their radios.

Anyways, I can't see why anyone would be the Braves in game 1. Yes they have had some rest for this series, but Maddux was HORRIBLE in his two starts against the DBacks this season. He was pulled from both games in the 5th and 6th innings respectively.

Its not like Johnson is that great against the Braves either, losing 3-1 in his only meeting against them. HOWEVER, he struck out 12 in 8 innings! Just didn't have the run support to win the game IMO.

I am biased, but it looks to me as though the way to go is Arizona for the side (strongest play) and OVER the 7 run total (moderate play) since Maddux hasn't proven that he can be the least bit effective against the DBacks.

I realize Maddux is a great pitcher in his own right, but if you can get Johnson at -150 with the game in Arizona, there's tremendous value in this play.

Obviously the only concern is Johnson's playoff woes. . .

i actually think the under is the play.....

7 runs isn't much, but these two offenses with the exception of jones and gonzalez -- these lineups are AAA quality.

I expect whoever the ump, to get in a groove of calling strikes, and for the under to hit. My only reserves are for the Az bullpen. Need Johnson to make it into the 8th.....

Freeze,

My first instinct was the under as well. . . especially considering the quality pitchers that will be facing each other. However, Maddux gave up a lot of runs for the few innings that he pitched against the DBacks in the two games that he faced them! Maybe two games isn't solid enough to provide justification on playing the over, but it should certainly be a question mark for those considering the under!

Anyways, I will probably avoid playing the total and lay something down on the DBacks. . . I am biased for Arizona obviously, BUT after researching the game (especially Maddux) I feel the right side is Arizona.

when were the games though.....that would be my question.....

right now the d-backs lineup is very cold....i expect their bats to be tight in game one as well....especially against Maddux......and vice versa......

i think this one is too close to call, and i would probably rather take the braves, cuz i think the proper spread is more like 100/120 but we will see......think the play is on the under though.........gl to ya....

Been a Braves fan since the Dale Murphy days but you can't bet with your heart if you know what I mean.... I like the D Backs today in game one and I'm really looking at jumping on the Dbacks with a nice series price of only -135 .... Hey the worst that could happen is that I lose the bet and my team wins... LOL

This game really makes my mouth water....if the Braves can score anything then I should be fine. Gimme Arizona -1.5 runs and the over 6.5....no parlay....just two straight bets.
