Today's game was just the shitay icing on the big crap cake that was the month of April. 2 runs in 12 innings against the Nationals. We take the lead in the top of the 12th 2-1. Cox lets our new closer Acosta bat after pitching 2 innings already. Lets him bat w/ 2 runners on base. So of course in the bottom of the inning Acosta makes a costly error and then walks the tying run in to tie the game with no outs. Exit Acosta enter Buddy Carlisle. 1st pitch he throws flyball left center game over. 0-9 in effin 1 run games. No clutch hitting. Smoltz, Soriano, Moylan, Mike "I pulled my titty" Hampton all injured. We had a guy out at home on a botched suicide squeeze, a guy doubled up after he wanders off first too far on a line drive to right. Fundamentals suck. Bobby Cox's decisions suck. Man to think we have to look to the Hawks for a little excitement.

Acosta couldn't find the strike zone.
I was screaming at the screen when I saw Cox let him stay in to hit. Then again when he left him in after walking the leadoff man in the 12th.

I thought the Braves were gonna win it after getting the 1-2-3 double play to end the 11th and then taking the lead in the 12th. Those are the ones you are supposed to win. Nothing like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
