On top of a bunch of long shot props and game by game bets, my big bet is on Brazil to win it. I feel really good about them for the first time in a long time. But, the odds stink. I never bet favorites in futures in tourney's no matter the sport, seems like a bad deal always. So, looking for opinions, but was thinking of just rolling winnings from each round into each next round. So, using say, 200 as an example:
Option 1:
Brazil +400 200 to win 800
Or, Option 2 - involves ALOT of guessing on future lines when I dont even know the matchups:
Brazil to win Group 100 to win 28
Brazil to advance:
Round of 16 -300 - guessing Mexico?
128 (from winnings of group+original bet) + 100 new bet = 228 to win 75
Qtr Finals -200?
303 to win 151
Semi Finals -150?
454 to win 304
Finals -120?
758 to win 631
1389 final total - 200 original bet = 1189 profit or roughly Brazil +595.
Extra risk is I lose 100 if they come in 2nd in the group then run the table. But, R16 would be against Germany and they'd likely be underdogs so might even catch up in the end. But, at least I can jump off or pull back at any stage if it looks like the wheels are coming off the Brazil train. More work and alot of uncertainty on payoff, but I think there's alot more upside than down.
Any thoughts on this strategy?
