Xavier shot 39% (Cincy) and 40% (Stanford) in its two road games so far this season. Despite those poor numbers, the Musketeers prevailed with a six point win at Cincy and ended up losing by one point to #19 Stanford. With two road games under their belt, the Musketeers should play much looser today.
Xavier is winning by an average margin of 72-56 this year. Mississippi State is winning by an average margin of 86-56. The difference is, Xavier has played Stanford, Purdue, Cincy and Miami (Ohio). Mississippi State has played absolutely no one.
The Bulldogs will be playing their first road game today. Also, center Mario Austin will be back after missing the team's first six games. I think this may disrupt some of the chemistry Mississippi State has developed during its current five game winning streak, especially on offense.
