Lost a little bit yesterday, but was around some good ones, so I'm still optimistic for today....
I'll post some plays throughout the day, but here's some things that kind of jumped out at me last night:
RACE 4 - JUVENILE TURF
I couldn't make a lot of sense of this one, but one that caught my eye was #4 FARRAAJ. He's 2 for 4 for his career and has only banked $23K. He's 15-1 on the Morning Line, which makes sense, but in the fixed odds pools, he's +540 @ 5Dimes and +620 @ Pinnacle. It seems has been in with some nice horses, even though he has been running for very modest purses. He's worth a long look, as I don't feel the American contingent in this race is all that strong.
RACE 5 - SPRINT
I would love to see # 8 BIG DRAMA win this one again. That was one helluva race he ran here last year - I still say he is the toughest bastard I have ever seen in the flesh on a race track. Not a big horse, but all heart and I admire that. He may get a bit of my money based on that alone, which is never a good idea, but none of the handicappers are giving this guy any chance at all, so he will likely get a better price than his 5/2 ML. However, I also really like the #6 FORCE FREEZE at 10/1 ML. I just get the impression he is sitting on a monster of a race.
RACE 11 - CLASSIC
#5 SO YOU THINK has amassed $7.5 million in 19 starts in Austrailia and Europe. Apparently Coolmore brought him over here to showcase him to the world. The question mark is the surface, as he has never raced on dirt, but he is just oozing class. I also like #13 TO HONOR AND SERVE. He was going to be a superstar on the Derby trail last winter, but his form got sidetracked somewhere along the way. I think he is peaking here and ready to live up to some of his potential. Also, Mott is dangerous if he gets hot, and after winning the Ladies Classic yesterday, he could be sitting a huge "Classic" double.
Be back later on.....Hopefully we can hit something around here today.
