WOW!

IS THIS GUY INCREDIBLE OR WHAT!

THE FACT THAT THIS GUY EVEN SHOWED UP FOR WORK TODAY AMAZES ME.

I DONT KNOW MANY PEOPLE, OR ANY THAT COME TO MIND NOW UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES THAT COULD PERFORM THIS WELL AT ANYTHING.

THIS IS CERTAINLY ONE FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS.

A HALL OF FAMER, A CLASS ACT, A TRUE INSPIRATION.

WOW!

Brett Favre is a stud. I played Oak and Under, yet was happy to watch Favre play so well in the face of so much adversity. That performance was clearly worth 2 units. Definitely one of the finest performances of all time.

welcome Plymouth MA:)
great performance by Brett, without doubt one of the greatest ever. Although he never won the Super Bowl I would rate Marino right behind him.

favre is great, but some of those passes were not that great. the raiders secondary is terrible. the safeties are horrible and philip buchanon got personally lit up like a roman candle. i can promise anthony dorsett nor derrick gibson would start for any other team in the nfl ( at least all the playoff teams). probably get bashed from those that read, but i do not care. favre had a great game last night and played well, but it should be kept in perspective. tommy maddox had a career day against oak just two weeks ago.

Elvis, you are exactly right.

Farve played very well under very difficult circumstances, but once again he throw up some real ducks and luckliy got them completed, which he does alot of during a season. And because of this, look at all the games he is horrible with 3-4 picks etc.

Farve is a top NFL QB, but lets not get carried away with this performance against the lowly Oakland quitters.

I really couldn't agree more with you two guys. He has been know to complete some very lucky passes. As Pilgrim stated Montana was as good as they get, that guy when he was on his game could pick apart a defense like no other. Johnny U was a class act also one of the best. GL guys

favre does throw his share of bad interceptions, but what does not make the national media is that many of his picks are the fault of his recievers. after every game that favre throws inters it will come out later in the week in the local media that 1 or 2 them were the fault of his wr's. they run the wrong routes, dont come to the ball aggresivley enough, dont catch the ball and cause a deflection, etc.
this has gone on throughout his career in gb. and i am not saying favre has never been at fault, i am just saying that while many people remember and bash his games with 3 or 4 or 5 picks, many should also realize that you can only blame about half of them on him.
and while comparing favre with some of the other greats it would be interesting to compare some of the recievers favre has had to some of the wrs the other greats have had. favre has had one legit star at wideout over his career and that was sterling sharpe, other than sharpe he has made all the wrs what they were.

just to name a few of the scrubs that had respectable careers because #4 was the one throwing to them.

what sticks out to me about mondays game was the fact that he even played. dont think i could have seen through the tears.
the other thing that really sticks out is the game that the wrs had. this will be the best group he has ever played with. driver, ferguson, and walker are all very young and just now in the last few weeks they are starting to show their potential. your right when you say favre threw up a few ducks, but isn't that a weekly thing for culpepper? culpeppers ducks are great passes though because moss is on the other end to snag them. just maybe as these young wrs start to mature and step their games up favre is also realizing that he can throw up the duck and one of them will make the play. a few more ducks for tds and they become great passes. thanks for the game brett, it was a joy to watch.

Elvis & ct, with all due respect, the title of this thread was "Bret is the best of my generation" whether he received some lucky breaks on Monday because of a suspect Oakland secondary really has absolutely nothing to do with the mans career . What about the first 142 touchdown passes?? Lucky:confused: , actually that consecutive games played & started streak pretty lucky also:shrug: I'm not even a Packers fan, however anyone interested in watching NFL Football recently, Brett is unquestionably one of the greatest of this generation, period end of sentence. Whether he was lucky Monday or Oakland sucks or whatever, the man is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, give him some respect.

Good luck this weekend
