In-running:

Paul Casey(+600)(1/4 for 1-4) e.w. @ Bet365
- - I look for him to be on the lead at the end of today, and how he copes with the strong winds on Saturday should tell the tale of whether he is the man to beat on Sunday. A little parlay with Adam Scott(+300) e.w. as well.

LIA - looked at Casey at beginning of week and still not convinced he can close a tournament out. One of those golfers I have a problem with backing. Your thoughts?

C7-

When it comes to closing a tournament out, some are better and others are worse in his price range, IMO - There was that patch after the World Cup when it was good to oppose him, but before and since that incident, Paul Casey has been one of my favorite players under 30 ("Guys out here like to make it too bloody complicated," or words to that affect), and I've had him pegged for years to "go places" he expects to frequent - I'm sure he's working on expanding his repertoire from high and spinning iron shots to something with more reliable control, but I'm not sure he's ready to rely on a different approach this week.

LIA - good call on Casey that. can't disagree with what you said.

Frustrating tournament, went out to Dubai and watched the Desert Classic came back raving about this golfer Johan Edfors who hits it miles. Watched him and Canonica in final round was very impressed. Backed hin twice, lost. Not backed him, won twice - guess thats golf. Big consolation in Brett Wetterich though.
