browser ?

I recently got a DSL line for faster access and have been using internet explorer as the browser.

My question is this as good as any or are there other browsers that will work better/faster. I have not been real satisfied with ie and welcome any feedback.

Being semi computer illiterate, I appreciate any help you gurus can provide :shrug:

Is there really any question? Does anyone use a non-IE browser for a reason other than "Bill Gates is the devil" or "I hate Microsoft"?

Netscape is buggy...stick with IE.

To answer your question though, you can try the new Mozilla. It's the same as Netscape, but has a great popup window killer feature that actually works - also, you can have multiple web pages open under different tabs and just click between them like an excel spreadsheet.

Now I think that I am using the wrong terminology. I was thinking along the lines of Exite, Yahoo, Google etc

Are these any better to do the searches with?

No question, Google is the best search engine on the net.

Have to agree I do like google alot. Also, I use excite as my backup. The one on msn just straight out sucks.

Monk you were saying about the pop up stopper for mozilla. a company called panicware makes one for ie. It has been working really well for me. Then again panicware wants $$$ for it. But, crack is easy to find.

opera is pretty good...I use IE and Opera...Netscape is kinda slow and is a little buggy.

try using CrazyBrowser. Its an add on to IE and has lots of cool features.
