Sticking with last weeks winner Thorpe for one reason - he won twice in 2000 and again in 2001 - each time Back-to-back - 33/1 Hills is the best price on offer.
Should really go for Gilder again but I will leave him in the capable hands of Clive and have a stab at Sammy Rachels - 125/1 Hills

Outright plays (2 units):

Bob Gilder to win 20/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Last year's Rookie of the Year is starting to rediscover his form. Top-3 finishes in three of his last four starts is impressive and but for a missed shot putt on the last green, he would have been in the playoff with Jacobs and Thorpe last week. Decent appearance last year and he is generally available for much less elsewhere.

Allen Doyle to win 20/1 e.w. @ Bet365
Doyle is misfiring at the moment, or at least, certainly at weekends. In his last three events he has finished the first round 1st, 2nd and 4th and managed to finish the week 16th, 34th and 8th. We have to go back two further events to find an instance where he (almost) finished the job - he was the first round leader at the Toshiba Senior Classic and finished 2nd. But I am encouraged by the fact that he has been playing well, if only for one round, and his weekend failings have bumped up his odds. Surrey go 12/1. With finishes of 3rd and 4th in the past two years, this could be the week he finds his consistency.

Jim Thorpe to win 33/1 e.w. @ Surrey
Would hardly look to the previous week's winner as a selection, but there is an interesting trend with this former running-back. Before last week's victory at The Tradition, he had won four times in his three years on the Senior PGA Tour. His two victories in 2000 had been in back-to-back weeks and so were his two victories in 2001 with the first (Kroger Senior Classic) via a one-hole playoff. Winning a major, even a Senior major, is very different to winning a regular Tour event, but he will obviously be aware of his ability to form a winning streak and looks better value than many others this week, particularly given his good course history.

Centrebet went 80/1 Jenkins on Monday, which I thought was excellent value...50/1 now.

Gilder looks pretty solid as he seems to be more consistent this year..20/1

Can't resist Fuzzy at 50/1 Surrey and Hills...pretty sure he'll win soon.

2nd rd match play @ 5 dimes
Doyle -115 over Gilder
With torrential rains yesterday and light rains all night (clearing this afternoon).I am expecting LC&P today which should benefit Doyle with his short choppy swing,in addition Gilders putting looked very poor last week.If they finish 2nd rd today it also means Gilder will have to play 6 more holes than Doyle and walking that many in soggy conditions can take toll on youngsters and double tough on Beards.

Will be cheering for Rachels tonight...always knew Ian was a romantic, going for a player with the same name as his wife on their anniversary...the coincidence bet of a lifetime at 125/1!!!!!!!

Final update: 0-3; -6.00 units

Gilder 19th
Doyle 15th
Thorpe 29th

No joy at all this week. Thorpe was never in contention and while Gilder and Doyle started the final round 7th and 11th respectively, they both finished a long way from a place win.

Good luck Ian :)

Seems like we're doing this every week now

Well the coincidence just got a bit freaky

"But Rachels had made eight consecutive pars. A request from his wife, Pia, was looking shaky: Win the title as a 31st wedding anniversary present. That was Sunday, too."
