This Sabre team should be very similar to last-which lacked heart on many nights. They are young and fast-but also make MANY mistakes and have one of the worst PPs I have ever seen. I am going to do a full write up-but I wanted to get a chance to see them first and confirm my thoughts.
Scorers:Satan Afinagenov Dumont
Positve Forward Contributors:Brown and Connolly
Newcomers:Hecht and Adam Mair
Defense:Lost Smehlik and got younger w\Tallinder and Campbell
Goalie-Deepest with young talent. Biron heads up with Noronen and Ryan Miller in the wings.
Coaching:If Ruff does not get off to a good start he is gone. Reiger just plain out stinks as a GM-but then again he is very limited so maybe that is not fair.
Prediction: 34-39-9
This team has 1 foot out the door. Their season ticket drive has stalled with their slogan-Its our team-lets keep it that way. When they went to the Cup it was the Hardest Working Team in Hockey. A team run by the league can't be on top. There will be limited moves and this team needs change. They have a TERRIBLE PP and they struggled against weak teams. BEst idea for change bring in Drew Bledsoe!!
