I agree.... it is very confusing, and I could not figure out what to do.

I would like to figure out how to get PS2 games of the net along with burning DVD's of the net.

Thanks

I'll do some checking but trying to burn a DVD would seem to be a major task considering that a DVD is highly compressed with around 1.6 or so gigs of files whereas a CD can only hold 74 or 80 MB of space. This is off the top of my head so I'm not sure how it could be done. Copying the encryption is another story too.

ryson, do you know anything about this?

let me tell you that your wasting your time....

a friend of mine and i have done this and it takes alot of work...

first we printed a manual that was 2inches thick....i could not understand a word of it.. (my friend is the egg head not me?)

he has a 2000 GHZ P4 w/, 1024megRDRAM, 7200mhz 120GB hard drive....

now even w/ a machine like this you know how long it takes to burn movies??

over 6.5 hours!

not to mention that you dont get any special features.. and the burn is not always perfect. also (not sure why) but the kind of DVD discs that you burn on are smaller than the ones that the actual movie is on.. which means when you burn a movie you usually have to put it on 2 discs..

trust me this guy knows what hes doing.. he is head IT in our building for a major computer company...

Can it be done?

yes,

is it worth it?

i dont think so, but thats up to you guys

monk brings up a good point.. you cant put these movies on CDs..its a pain in the ass..

got lord of the rings on CD..had to put it on 5 of them to get it to fit!

which brings me to another problem of burning instead of just buying..

the DVD discs you buy to burn on are expensive!

pack of 20 for about 30 bucks!

by the time you pay for the discs rent the movies.. wait 100 hours for them all to burn..

you might find that buying the actual movie for cheap on E bay or Amazon is the way to go:D

Use your DVD burner for what it was designed for...

personal video editing, and backing up huge amounts of data.

good luck

skulldog,

I say you go back to Circuit City and tell that little punk salesman to cough up the website or you're going to talk with his supervisor about the shitty service you get everytime you go there. ;)

Not really my space, I have one DVD player and it's on a laptop that I bought about 4 mos. ago. I only own one DVD....Godfather - all 3 movies. Planning on getting the whole TV/DVD/Sound system, but sort of on hold with a wild 19 mo. old wanting to touch everything of daddy's:D rather buy a boston whaler or a nice scooter , those of you with little ones know the deal. I did chat with a few of my cronies today and Gibber is right on track, seems cheaper to just buy the damn things.

I can't even get anything to download from that site. I click on a link or the file to download, and it never starts or nothing.
