Now he's got two that will kiss his butt and say good idea. What a Leader. I do after Americans spoke laud and clear in November a real smart and use full plan finally will come out of that white house. If not it's up to new congress and senate to hold those Little feet in the fire. Last polls over whelming state get the fu?? out in next year. Move some troops to stand by as needed.

You know when it first came out I had my doubts.

After all the meetings and advise, Bush comes up with send more troops.

Wait a minute. Thats the same thing they have been saying for the last year. If we only had more troops we could shoot more, bomb more, kill more.

Thats not anything new.

Thats not new, thats the same old shit.

At one time Bush was being applauded for his "Stay the Course" and not letting public opinion sway him. Of course we find out now that he was lying about his "Stay the Course" strategy working. But of course that should come as no surprise because the whole Invasion was based upon lie after lie anyway.
Now, he fires two generals and says he spoke to everyone and he came up with we need 9,000 more soldiers there?
Does anyone actually think that 9,000 more soldiers is the answer?

Yep, Bush still has that same problem he's had since becoming president. He can't handle differing views from his own. If he doesn't like the advice he gets, he simply gets rid of those people until someone says something he does like. Unfortunatley, those "yes men" tend to be incompetent boobs.

I posted a new topic along these lines in the forum a while ago. Interesting to note that Bush eliminates those people telling him things that don't fit the grand plan, and uses the others as the faces to back up his actions. He is now advocating - after all this time - putting a billion $ into the Iraqi economy and 20,000 or more troops there to make a big push to quell violence. Why now? Because the major national oil companies, of which he is quite associated with, will not move heavily on setting up shop there and taking over most of Iraqi oil production until the violence is under control.

The blatant disregard for anything not fitting his needs continues to amaze me. This administration is unmatched in its proprietary mode of operation, the rest of the world, and US citizenry, be damned.

No no. I'm sure this is ust another in a long line of coincidences regarding Bush, oil, Cheney, Haliburton, Iraq, etc. All just coincidences.

I'm not sure if he will ask for more men. If we have not got it done with those there already. It seems to me we had wrong plan last three years. And why us again. Wheres all Bush's friends from England, Germany, Japan Saudi. Wheres there soldiers? Wheres all those 200000 trained Iraqi troops and police. Do they want peace or don't they? And this talk that we have to win. But problem is win what. Arm the Kurds to the teeth Mr Bush and let them help. Use your brain.
