I am sooooo sick and tired of people saying that bush has"sent our soldiers to die in a false war"

first off, kids. you chose to become a recruit
hopefully, understanding the inherent dangers of your line of work. this includes anything from zippo raids to rolling into northern libya with british troops. my family members enlisted by CHOICE.
and one who died, did it for his country first and the president second.
I am also sick of hearing that bush is a killer.
who has he killed? who? who?!? always complaining about george bush and the war without saying ANYTHING about the good that is being accomplished. but i guess thats not your fault. after all, all of your information comes from newpaper and TV. not the life outside of it.
Hell, stevie D wont even listen to a soldier, let alone piss on one whos on fire as far as im concerned. think critically and consider ALL of the sources. and the thinking of if you support the war you should join it? screw you. Why is it that every military action we take is said to be "protecting our freedom".....as if losing a whole fleet of blackhawks in some backwoods African nation was keeping our nation from being overrun the next day?

Am I supposed to believe that if we sent a special forces unit to Antarctica to kill 2 polar bears, that the mission was somehow "protecting our freedom"?

The recruits may sign up for the military, but what responsibility does the government have when it comes to choosing wars to fight in and placing those recruits at risk? Just because they sign up doesn't mean a government has the right to line them all up and let a machine gunner mow them down fighting some other country's civil war, like we did in Vietnam. Not to mention the number that were drafted.

The government has a responsibility to the people in fiscal matters and military responses, and to the general running of the infrastructure of the country......just because the government said so doesn't make it right, the people deserve accountability and responsible handling of these issues, just because it's the government doesn't give the government the right to run amuck and do whatever it wants to the chagrin of the people.....this is the difference between democracies and dictatorships......Hitler seduced a whole nation to fight for the "fatherland" and spewed all kinds of patriotic babble on the way to turning Europe into a burned out cemetary....

....and I'm supposed to ignore history and Hitler and grab a flag and a bible and sign my life over to the government, to do whatever they want?

You can be lucky you get your mail, considering the government's track record in matters of running a business and all the dirty deals and corruption present.
