Remember last year in the pre-season, the Browns (+2) were down late to the Redskins and after a touchdown went for a two point conversion and after scoring, found themselves down by only one. It was really a meaningless conversion, as one or two points at that juncture of the game didn't matter. I remember the lively opinions that basically stated of course the NFL is not controlled, the Browns were simply trying to gather momentum for the regular season and a one point loss is better than a 2 point loss. Who knows?

Well tonight I just watched the Panthers trying to run out the clock in the last few minutes, all the while Butch Davis was shown on the sidelines calling timeouts, thus stopping the clock, and therefore letting Carolina have more plays. Well, of course they scored that touchdown on the ground in the last minute, and yes the Browns had no timeouts when they got the ball back in the last 30 seconds. Excuse me Butch, shouldn't we let the Panthers run the clock.

Okay fella's, what am I missing?
