I usually have bought the best medium performance clubs , not the best or the worst and currently have G15 ping irons. Turning 60 soon
Wanted to treat myself to top of the line clubs this time. If you guys have any other clubs that you think are better? Let me know your thoughts......... My selections based on all I have read are :
Driver, 3 & 5 woods will be Callaway Epic flash sub zero series. Taylor made M6 irons. Spider X putter.......
I have a Cleveland 56 degree wedge that I love and my rescue ping 2 iron has been in my bag for 15 years and has gotten me out of trouble a bunch of times.

The iron shafts I want are 115 g to 120 g as I do not like light weighted at all.......

Played M4 irons that I rented a few weeks back playing in DR and I really played well with them, so I thought the m6 series should be even better? Thoughts?:0008

I just got some new sticks last year but I went and paid to be fitted and they made the decisions for me. You hit some shots with your current clubs and then they fit you accordingly....the shafts are the most important believe it or not the clubs are basically all the same especially the older we get...I am 54. I always hit Callaway Big Bertha, I tried Ping, Titleist, Taylor Made, Mizuno and ended up with the Rogues last year my buddy had always hit Pings and he is 59 he ended up with Taylor Made, so my suggestion is get fitted and let them decide for you

Find the nearest Club Champion. Get their best fitter and go there. You will end up with the best gear, and the best gear for you.

I would take a hard look at the Epic irons. They greatly outperformed the PXG for me (and for several friends who have compared them on a Trackman). I really wanted PXG for the look but the results spoke for themselves. Fantastic irons.

I purchased the M4 irons last year and hit the steel as well as graphite shafts, and graphite was priced the same (returned set they couldn't sell as new at my club), and hit better for me being 60. I am still hitting 7 iron consistent 165 yds, and also have the M3 4 hybrid as well as the hi loft M3 16.5 3 wood. Traded in the Driver for the Rogue which I loved much better. That is my preferences, but yours will be found out when you take the time to hit them all. Good luck bud!!

Everyone is different. A decent fitting is expensive, and timely, but probably worth it.

I had one fitting at my course, and the clubs suggested sucked for my game! I was never comfortable with them, and dumped them the next season.

Good luck!

They have a 90 day return policy and I won't let that time expire if I do not feel completely comfortable with all the clubs they select. In 3.5 hours they may know my DNA by the end of the day

I was fitted a couple of years ago, it was great!
Local golf store with simulator, they had me hit different brands to see what worked for me. Once we found clubs I was hitting well on a consistent basis, they then tested the angle of the irons. They had to custom order my irons for the correct angle.

I had been playing with the same clubs for years and had never been fitted and I would say it is definitely worth the extra money, rather than trying to buy clubs right off the rack!

Good Luck 🍀 and hit em straight!!

So, They called me this morning and asked if I could make the fitting today and I did. The Clubs that performed the best for me were:
Driver: Callaway Epic Flash 10.5 degree with Accura FX 2.0 shaft
3 fairway wood : Taylor Made M6 with Mitsubishi C6 shaft
3 hybrid Callaway big bertha with Accura FX 2.0 shaft
5 hybrid Callaway big bertha with Accura FX 2.0 shaft

Irons : Ping G410 Irons with Veylix Alpina 673 Shafts (graphite)
Wedges :Cleveland CBX 50, 54 and 58 degree with Accura FX 2.0 shafts

Will take 2 weeks for the clubs to be made, and I was adding about 10 yards per club, except the driver & woods which was about 20 yards better than I hit with my old clubs. Sorry Joker, the graphite irons felt really good through impact. So, will see how the game goes.........it won't be due to the quality of the clubs for sure.
