I am starting to look at purchasing a used RV. Checked out RV trader and was wondering what brands are the best and most reliable? The prices are all over the board, and I realize you most often get what you pay for. Any advice would be appreciated :0008

My Dad has owned several over the years and there is alot that you have to watch out for.

The engine, make, model is obvious to look at.

But the real deal is this. And my Dad told me this.

Boats , Horses, Swimming pools, and RVs are money pits.

It sits in the back yard and is used occasionally .

It just aint worth it in my book.

Last trip I went with a RV we rented it. It was nice and I think it cost me 2500 for the week.
Gas to the Florida Keys was included.

Advise is to rent and make sure it is something you really really want sitting in your yard.

It's cheaper to fly around and get a nice room.

Take a month to think about it.

Drove from Arlington, Texas to Anaheim, California. Saw a total of two RV's. Semis out number all vehicles. More SUV's and large pickups than traditional cars.

I have a 39' Keystone Raptor that I bought for 60,000 and the book is now 45,000 that i have sitting in front of my retail store for sale for 37,000. Just in case it might be of interest for you. My wife Mindy was a gas and oil pipeline inspector and used it for 10 months. Anybody else interested in it let me know. If i don't sell it this month i am going to move it to Iowa and sit it on the trout streams up around Decorah, in NE Iowa.
