Thanks for the info though IE, will use it THURSDAY!

BTW... great job with the CANUCK LEAGUE up there. Of the games I've played with you, think I'm 5-1 or something, and actually middled the EDM game. Bought a teaser on the dog on FRIDAYS game to lock in some profit, and hit it to boot! TEASED it to the OVER on Saturday you had mentioned, another easy winner. Hope you keep em coming!

Yo, Two Vowels!

Check the math when the home chalk loses SU in the game previous to the bye. If my notes are correct, that little tightener makes your angle an intoxicating 21-4 to the number! If'n yuz fade the rested favorite, I mean.

I'll chug that bingo everytime, ya see what I'm sayin'?

BTW - It's no surprise to hear that you're puck pockets are filling. I promise not to jinx ya this year. Well, not before the World Series is over at least. Keep it goin', my friend.

He shoots --- HE SCORES!

Bump'n because:

If you must play.....and I will.....here's as good a reason as any to take the points tonight. Even if that means playing the Williams.

Unfortunately, Wade Phillps is NOT his father's son! Bum woulda kept Flutie and "kicked the SOB in" tonight.

Wade can't even find the door "knocker". Therefore, hope'n Jax leaves the door ajar just enough for a +9 cover.

An eztd by the Bills tonight could be the difference maker! Thanks for this post IE.

here is another one that maybe we can come w/ a sane reason why it happens???

since 1998 underdogs off an overtime game now are:

ATS: 21-6-1 78%

atlanta, san deigo, new england are off ot as dogs this weekend.

maybe the line gets inflated because they think it was a tough game last time out?.....
who knows....

to be played w/ all other parts of handicapping the game....just shooting these out for converstion....and to see if there is any reasons we can come up to justify why these trends have been hitting at a high %...

Few capp'n facts to throw out:

-Rob Johnson"s homecoming back to Jax where he started most of the '97 season. He needs to salvage his reputation.

-Travis Henry found his legs in the last game vs. Jets with an over 100 yd game. Will that carry over to tonight?

-Bill's HC Williams has used the bye to heal up the troops. Says he'll use TE Riemersma underneath to prevent punishing sacks of Johnson. Doable with the return of Jennings and Fina to the offensive line allowing Riemersma to roam away from blocking duties at the O line. Sounds logical....we'll see.
-No Fred Taylor and no Tony Boselli. That's huge if the Bills can use those losses to harrasss and fluster Brunell.

-Coughlin's rush D is 22nd in the league..... highlighting the Bills' RB Travis Henry's importance.

-Bills are a hefty 9-3 SU coming off bye weeks.

Any thoughts for or against these factoids? I think Henry is the key to Johnson's success or failure tonight.

Mr. Ex:

I see the key to OT Dawg bein' the enthusiasm created by the competitive effort of the previous week. My guess'd be that when our pup takes the SU loss in the overtime game (as in them what qualify this Sunday) they are apt to be a much stronger play than if they was to win. I could be all wet, acourse, but that'd be another story.

Anyway, I got another angle what I think'll support this opinion. To wit:

Road chalk coming offa game what they lost SU, but won ATS are somethin' like 13-2 to the number. This one don't come up but once or twice a season, but like the OTD it shows that a team off a close but no cigar performance may play with renewed vigor next time out. I gotta figure the exciting, hotly contested heartbreaker to be a great short-term motivational tool.

Or not. Whattaya think?

btw - The Pants this week are a road favorite offa LBC (lose but cover). Psst. That'd be Carolina, Barfly (hey, howya doooin'?).

Bartender! Yeah, yeah ... make his a double.

Invy,

I was speakin' totally from memory (which can be dangerous for me) on that Carolina angle. So when I seen your response I got a little nervous. Anyway, I went diggin' through my old crap (I really gotta get more organized) anda pitchera martinis later I found this.

Teams that were ATS winners in their previous game but losers SU, that are now favored on the road are 13-1-1 (92.9%) 6yrs thru '97

The really amazing thing though is, as I was diggin' this baby up I think I uncovered some freakin' dinosaur bones!

Sorry the crap is so old, it seems like a buncha years just vanished on me there in the mid-90's (damn crystal meth). Not as many as I lost back there in the early seventies acourse, but still ...

Anyway, I checked and I do have the angle covering this year in week 2/3 (first week after the tragedy) with PHI -2? @ SEA winning 27-3. They had lost but covered 17-20 (+3?) in their previous game, Opening Day vs STL in OT (hey! what was that OT Dawg deal again?).

Basically I. Ex., you had it right, except it doesn't have to be a home dog. Any dog that loses but covers, then goes to road chalk qualifies. After seein' what you found (or didn't find) I'm afraid that I mighta quit trackin'the bastid simply because the situation had become extinct.

Your turn to start diggin' again, man. Good luck!

Christ, now what am I gunna do with alla these old freakin' bones.
