He was almost gone. Friday after barging on to the fox morning show. He Is able to keep job. Close call for Chris. After telling the three dingbats that do that show to get on with a new subject and keep it balanced and correct. They had been trashing Obama for about 2 hours. Now on that rebuplican network thats ok. So he took a big chance since he did it on air not waiting for commercial break. So of course some think it may havel been a set up. You know look were fair and balanced. Ya 2 hours vs 2 minutes.

Better than MSNBC cheering, with pom-poms waving, for Barack Obama 24/7!!!! :yup

Where is it that you see this? Pat Buchanan?, Joe Scarbrough? Tucker Carlton? Why is like clockwork that most of you Southeners swear by Fox News? What is it that has you all so mesmerized? Its borderline insanity. At what age do you realize you are being bullshitted? My goodness

Dj after the 2004 election i turned on Fox to see if these asshole were gloating. Their were five of them all white males. So one ask the question "who would the Republicans be afraid the Democrats would run in 08. all five like clockwork said Hillary. Right away i thought these assholes already had their marching orders from Murdouch to start the Hillary beat so the democrats would fall for it and be stupid enough to run her. Like clockwork the democrats fell for it. Now the bashing began 24/7 on Hillary. What they never counted on was this guy named Obama coming out of nowhere and taking the lead. Now everything has shifted and Hillary is now a good person according to Fox. Hell when she won 3 out of four states recently Kosars rag the NY POst had a full front page picture of her name like she won the superbowl. It really is a sad time in this country that a bias dirty news station like this has so many people conned into their agenda no matter how bad the country looks right now. Only the neocons could fool people into voting for everything they most likely are against.

I'll answer your questions one at a time Sponge(you know how slow we Southerners are):

Where do I see this?
Countdown w/Olberman and his hand-picked pro-Obama guests. Gave reasons the other night why Obama is the ONLY choice for President. Wish he would just stick to calling our current President every bad name in the book because that is about all he is good for. Guess you are looking forward to his Primetime Special on NBC which I'm sure will be a Obama "Love-Feast". I will give you the point on Buchanan & Scarbrough but Tucker must have gone a little to far to the right, or the center, as he has been fired by MSNBC. Also see Obama rah-rah's from that clown who is on from 8:00pmCDT-9:00pmCDT.

Like clockwork, I swear by Fox News.
Yes:yupwhen I set my watch, or any clock in my house, I turn to channel 41(my local cable's Fox News Channel) and see what time they say it is because they are "Fair & Balanced".

Why are we Southerners so mesmerized?
If I knew Sponge then I would not be mesmerized.

Is it boderline insanity?
If I may quote a fellow Southerner Waylon Jennings, "I've always been crazy but it's helped me from going insane"!!

At what age will I realize I'm being bullshitted?
Hard to say how long I will live Sponge but I'm 44 years old now.

FYI-Guess my calling MSNBC pro-Obama made it appear that I am pro-Fox News. I try to watch all cable news channels as much as I can. Admit I watch Fox News more than any of the others but I have reasons other than the coming Presidential election. With more than a few friends serving in Iraq, I like the fact that Fox News reports on the war regardless if the news is good or bad. If you have not heard on MSNBC, there is some GOOD news coming out of Iraq. Seems like the other cable news networks, including the major network news, only give reports on the war when something bad happens. ABC News failed to mention the 5th annversery of the war's start and some of it's successes, but spent a couple of mintues reporting on the 4,000 soilder killed while serving his country. Think you have to give me the point that Fox is just about the only network pulling for our troops to succeed.

Sorry my post got you so upset Sponge. As for the election in November, I have yet to make up my mind as to who I'll cast my vote. Guess if I watched Fox all the time it's McCain or if I watch MSNBC it's Obama. Good thing most of us Souherners can't read because some newspapers say we should vote for Hillary. Have a nice evening.:)

Your post didn't upset me at all. Oh and if Fox was pulling for the troops wouldn't they want them the home like all the other networks? Now i know you are buying there talking point bullshit. By the way do they even feel guilty for leading the charge and banging the drum beat to go on with this god awful mistake of a war? They should support the troops as they had a big part in putting them there in the first place. They don't give a dick about those troops and do give a dick about keeping corporate american in charge of the country and if ya can't see that, there lies my problem. Good day.

Pretty good post, Double Two. In my opinion, I would consider MSNBC as being pretty pro-Obama, they are pretty heavy in that direction, and I do think the debate handling of Obama and Clinton bordered on attack journalism, with the way they went after Hillary - repeatedly, and left Obama pretty much unscathed on many issues. I do think Olberman is in the Obama corner.

A couple of points about your comments and Fox News, however. I remain very touchy about the one comment about Fox News being the only network who wants the troops to succeed. There are so many angles to that, in my opinion. First, that nebulous word "success", which goes hand in hand with that word "winning", neither of which make much sense to me. I don't think there are any networks, or at least most of the people that work for them want troops to fail, when it means something as bad as it surely would - injury or death. The word fail, is as arguable as success, don't you think? I know what you are saying, I just bristle at the analogy that anyone on the left is against the troops, unpatriotic, sympathizers with the enemy, etc. It's the same argument, and in most cases, I don't think it's true. That is a very dark link...and while there are some who probably root for that in some dark ways, I'd say the true meaning of it brings a very small number of people to task.

And, I do agree with Sponge to a degree, when it comes to support for the troops. I am (and always have been) rooting for them to get out of harms way - and wish they had never been put there in the first place. I support the health and security of the troops, and want them to be ready to serve in situations much more important to our national security than this war in Iraq. The war on terror? Sure, I get that, and support it. But not Iraq - not the same thing, and I feel for the people who have endured their friends and family in that situation - let alone those who have lost those same people.

And, to single out Olberman in his hand-picked guests on his show? He is really late to the party...after watching show after show on the Fox News Channel put up the most fringe elements, the dorkiest looking far left liberals, the people virtually incapable of arguing a point successfully with the whack masters like Hannity and O'Reilly. I submit Alan Colmes as the democrat leaner to balance Hannity. He looks like a ferret, and comes off looking like the poster boy for the far left - offsetting the perfectly coiffed, spit-shined talk wizard Hannity in a very sad way.

In many ways, I hope Olberman does this from time to time. Fox is famous for doing that, and I can't see it any other way. I think Olberman is pretty witty, personally, and I like his sharp jabs - overtly left and political, yes, but it's about time somebody who could write well and speak well got some solid air time.

I still like listening to Dobbs on CNN - he is espousing the Independent mission these days - and requiring all of us to make politicians work for us and be REAL. Probably leans a little left, but a pretty realistic guy most times.

I loved your comment to Sponge about not knowing when you are being mesmerized. That was a terrific comment. I look forward to more witticisms from you in the future.

And Spongey...good to have you back, stirring the pot. Hang in there.

I would like to continue and discuss this topic with you Sponge but I refuse to get into a battle of wits with a man who is "UNARMED"!!!!:D

Let me know when you catch Olberman in a lie when he bashes this wonderful president your state help bring to our nation. I know when i watch Fox i can find 50 to 100 a night. Find me just one that Olberman says. A two time Bush voter now explaining how smart he is. Brilliant. I'll wait for all these lies. should be easy for you right?

Tucker Fired? If true it may have been no one was watching. But wait he showes up all over MSNBC as rebuplican expert so im not so sure he's gone. He might get picked up by fox if really true. But I don't know if he would look good enough in a swim suit to get hired. As for Obermann he is the best part of network if only because he catches O'Rilley and Hannity in there half truths. And brings it to everyones attention. Thats at least good for all to see.

Sure he does DJ and those two won't talk about him because they know he will dice them up. Like Chad said Fox will take on a few weak liberals and have the monkeys they have conned around the country pound their chest in approval. Oreilly talks about going after this guy that guy and this girl, that girl but the way Olberman talks about him you would think he might want a piece of Keith. I see Buchanan on his show all the time. Maybe he should bring on some of these con artist neo cons. He will have about as much luck as Bill Maher does. They hide like cowards just like when the draft came up. they know they will be exposed and people with an IQ higher than fifty will realize it. These neocon creeps are a cancer to this country and the people who get con by them daily are a smaller form of cancer. I got to go get a loan now to fill up my car. Stunning how these dam red states keep dictating who is the President.

he`s talking about chris mathews getting a" tingle" when obama reads a telephone directory and keith overbite, over made-up,over hair sprayed, and over the top.....

the 7-9 prime time hours are an obam-ination....

what happened to hill and bill and their 8 years of heaven?...can anybody address this?.....since when did they become persona non grata to libs?...

really...why`d hill and bill get thrown under the bus for a guy basically without a record?...is it all about "feeling good" and assuaging "white guilt" rather than substance?...

btw...where`s reverend wright?...he`s missing his speaking engagements.....

anybody seen the rev?

Wease, he isn't necessarily more qualified than Hillary or McCain for that matter. His strength is that he is not them. We know about the Clinton's and do not like them. McCain just looks like Bush lite. Obama is not my dream candidate but at least he ain't the others. Sad but true.

Wease, I think you probably know that I still support Hillary, and consider her a better Presidential candidate than Obama. I don't consider myself a staunch liberal by any means, some might disagree. I certainly don't hold the traditional caveats closely - a few biggies, that is.

I am guilty as charged as being a member of the ABB contingent, though...Definitely Anybody But Bush for me, always have been, always would be. And although I think McCain is an interesting candidate and I have always liked him personally, his pandering to the right and commitment to indefinite war probably would tilt me to Obama's voting lever at crunch time.

I do remain interested in Obama's charisma and level demeanor...I do think he could affect change in many ways, and I'd love to have someone so well-spoken speak on behalf of the country for a change. But I don't think he'd make as good a President as Hillary would. Or probably McCain, for that matter. It's tough for me, and will be if Obama gets the nomination - and looks like he's favored to right now.

Hope this helps...:SIB

Listen, you loser, pull out a "map", "look" at said map, try to "figure out" if my hometown, El Paso, is closer to the Atlantic or the Pacific... "Use" a spellchecker...
