Cable Filters

Anyone know anything about these awful things?
I recently bought a hotbox, and was gettin all the channels. So I cancelled my HBO. Now it seems they put a filter on HBO when they cancelled it because it isnt scrambled like the other channels. With or without the box it comes in fuzzy. It is totally not watchable. Anyone know anythin I can do short of orderin HBO again? Im catchin a lot of heat from the wife cuz Sex and the City is on lol.

Here in Vegas they are slowly converting the entire city. Used to be if you ordered just the "Basic" you would still be getting the premium signal too (just scrambled)

Now (thru conversion) you have to order (1) premium channel to recieve the signal for the pirate box to work.



Did ya try unplugging the pirate box with the power on. Then plugging it back in ?

I've heard of alot of problems with these boxes like all channels spanish

tried everything, even another box

i think it has to do with people stealin cable when they get cable internet, i think that has somethign to do with the filter on HBO.dunno why its only HBO though, eveythin else is good

i live in jersey to, and had this problem. this is what i did. go outside to the contol box that they use to hook up your cable, you will see a round metal cylinder at the end of the cable wire, this is the filter. remove it and just screw the cable back in. this should take care of your problem.
