Not a whiz but got an A in Calc 1 and Calc II about 7 years ago....................of course I may be wrong about the 7 years thing.............I'm not real good with numbers. Let me know what you need.

Hope this helps,

It's been a long time

It's been a long time

but I think it would be:

x + x^1/2 + x^1/2

1st derivative would be:

1 + 1/2x^-1/2 + 1/2x^-1/2

2nd derivative would be:

0 + -1/4x^-3/2 + -1/4x^-3/2

Or could be written as:

-1/2x^-3/2

Hopefully someone can verify (I would love to know if I got this right).

i don't think thats right. i got it down to 1/4(x+2(sqrtx)) all raised to the negative 1.5. thats the unsimplified answer... i think. im too lazy

Okay just one question, sqrt are all variables? or are you stating squared for instance square of t times x plus t squared ex.........see what I mean.
............The exponent becomes the co-efficient, then lessened by one and the variable becomes a one and then that equation, has the same principle applied. Right?

Calculus...grrr....
It is hard to type the question on the computer...I sadly do not think any of the responses are right. It is a multiple choice question with answers ranging from a to h... none of which correspond.....I guess I will pick C?!

Thanks for help...:)

Money doesn't buy brains sadly...not that I don't have any..i consider myself smart....but there is no logical point for me to understand calculus principles. Especially questions that are meant to send you for a loop

Multiple choice exam that you do at home...no amount of time or cheating is seeming to help find the answers:shrug:
