The (12-6) Arizona State Sun Devils look to get back on track at home tonight when they host the surprising (14-2) California Golden Bears.

Arizona State are 9-6 ATS and 4-3 in the Pac-10. Their last three games have all been on the road and they covered two of these, although winning just one SU. Last time out they fell behind #1 Arizona by 26 points before going down 71-63. They will be excited to be back at home where they have won and covered their last five games by an average of 23 points!

California are 8-6 ATS and a perfect 7-0 in conference play. However their record has been assisted so far by the fact they have played 12 of their last 14 games have been at home. Tonight is their first of four straight road games and will give a better indication of how they will fare this year. Forward Joe Shipp leads the Pac-10 with 20.9 points per game and has been even more impressive in conference play averaging 23.3 ppg.

Tonight we expect the Sun Devils to continue their impressive home form and post a double-digit win.

Recommended Play: Arizona State -6.5

ASU matches up terribly against Cal... but do I hope you are right on this play

These two teams are almost identical in that Defense is a priority and the atletes these teams have. Amit Tamir and Joe Shipp are the big scorers for CAL and ASU relies heavily on Freshman Sensation Ike Diogou.. who will be runner up to Carmelo Anthony for Frosh of year. Asu needs a consistent 2nd scorer.. one day it is senior Tommy Smith who was held scoreless agasint Arizona, or Curtis Millage

These two teams are so similiar that Cal has an advantage becasue they can shoot the 3 ball and ASU is terrible from 3 point range (unless typical bench warmer Kenny Crandall plays and goes 4 for 7 again form back there) also ASU needs swingman Jamal Hill to start shooting- he is a wild card in this game kinda like Eddie House... he is from San Jose and wanted to go to Cal but Cal didnt take him and ended up at ASU.... much like house... unlike House he isnt shooting the ball... look for him to try and bust up the Bear zone defense
