call me crazy, but this opener of -4.5 on the Eagles for Week 17 looks like a gift

I am not waiting.
I confess to having some cowtown, today (rest was much better, thanks) but I cannot foresee many universes where the Eagles blow this opportunity now that they somehow find themselves one (relatively)easy W away from the bonus season.

This line will move one direction, whatever you might think of the probable outcome.

Not sure on the Titans, same line, with the Texans Jekyll and Hyde show.
Broncos -3 (now gone, seeing -4) looked good but I saw the lack of Lock mojo, this afternoon (Broncos was a lucky cover), and I am still looking for an app. that will remind me not to bet on Raiders games, for or against (let me know where I can get one).

it ain't a gift if the Eagles can't score 24 ..

Giants will bring points to the table vs that beat up secondary.

I'll try to suffer through that overtime game @Redskins later, but maybe somebody who watched it can comment.

Daniel Jones looked good against the Jets, Lions and now Redskins, but he wasn't exactly a superstud at Duke and the rest of his NFL work is pretty grim. I have not nearly watched enough of him to form a reasonable opinion. Barkley went for 189 yards, today, and I can't see him matching that vs the Eagles run D.

I don't know. Gotta watch some more Giants action (yuck) to feel more comfortable about mortgaging the cat.

That's what I'm now wondering about.
Not sure about what offense the Giants are plodding right now. Need to catch that ot game later...should be av in full on yt within 16-24 hours.

Hey...initial imperative at first early line look. My earliest grabs have been working and I don't know if there will be many for week 17.

Alright, one other meaningless (I believe) factor that I'll mention.

Giants are now clearly out of the top 2 draft choices so that would minimize any incentive to lose, which I don't reallt believe in anyways, save for maybe the odd circumstance.

I am sure the Giants effort will be real.
I am also well aware of the Eagles recent injury concerns (looked for any current and looks like we'll need to wait on updates) but I believe that they still have enough there to take care of this one.

Am I right that this, maybe Cowboys game (if Eagles lose), and Titans-Texans are the only games for playoff spots? Pretty sure.

Not sure about the seeding race, currently.

a few short weeks ago, philly traveled to miami for what seemed at the time to be pretty much a must-win game.

i'm not saying the eagles won't roll over the giants. i'm just saying the eagles are nowhere near being a good football team. and they are suddenly overvalued after beating the cowboys.

I disagree with that. Your comment did make me check the look-ahead line for this game though, from last week, and I see the same Eagles -4.5.

Anyways, I'm commenting further (below, not the above) as hindsight makes me feel as silly about using a term like "gift" in my title as I am about !USING ALL CAPS! in my username, some however many millions of seconds ago. Anyways...

I've been checking out Eagles vs G-Men games from recent, since 2016 anyways.
Wentz lost his first vs @ the Giants as a rookie in 2016.
The Eagles have won the 6 games since; the re-match at home in 2016, both in 2017 (Wentz solid in mostly ground game in 1st but second saw Foles tossing 4 TD vs no picks), and both in 2018 (with his only win at MetLife (he's 1-1) throwing 3 TD and no INT for a 122.2 passer rating). Last was the recent ot at home, where they did out-gain the Giants 400-and change to 300, at least.

Different teams and all but I'm not sold that the Giants have suddenly turned the corner. I could try to argue that the oddmakers are giving the Giants some credit because of their performance today, as opposed to any credit being unreasonably given for winning a must-have at home vs a Division foe (Eagles). I guess if they are being overvalued then it is by me. Time may tell (beware of time-lies).

Just some more info about the game.
No can do further until some health status' are addressed.

I completely agree, I've have seen nothing out of Philly this season to warrant me betting money on them. Barkley looked healthy for the first time in a long time, and opened up the Giants offense completely. They were scoring at will yesterday, granted against Washington, but Philly defense isn't holding any money down anytime soon. Dallas is horrible, although they did a good job taking my money last week when I was on the Rams, and they played by far their best game of the season. LOL:shrug:
