Sounds to me like hes gonna take a night off, i am new to this forum but id love to try to get the ball rolling with tonight. I dont like many games on the slate tonight honestly, the only play im making is

Minnesota - 10 1/2, there a terrific home team, Houston is in shambles right now I think most of us knew the zone was gonna cripple this team badly, then take away francis while i dont think much of the way he plays he is the main point of there offense and an average at best offense cant lose there main playmaker and still be effective. Rice, who was the main reason they hung in the game in ny, is doubtful at this point and probably will not play.

Houston has lost 8 in a row, and Minn is one of the best home team to lay points with as they dont let up. Another reason i like the blowout angle is houston has a game tomm. on the road at det. and will pull there starters when this one gets out of hand.

good luck

After Thursday's game, Mobley was limping noticeably. Without the other injuries, it's likely Mobley would be out of the lineup. But with Francis, Rice and Maurice Taylor -- out for the season with an Achilles tendon injury -- sidelined, someone has to soldier on.

"I wish I could say it was feeling better, but I'd be lying," Mobley said. "After the game, it hurt really bad. It's not going to 100 percent unless I sit out for a month, but that's not going to happen. My injury is the least serious. I'm walking wounded. I'm still walking, at least."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since Francis moved to the injured list Nov. 27 a foot problem, the Rockets have averaged 81 points on 39 percent shooting. They have shot just 27 percent from 3-point range.

Prior to Francis' departure, the Rockets were averaging 91 points per game, making 43 percent of their shots and 33 percent of their 3-pointers. The Rockets have not surpassed 86 points since Francis went out, and twice have scored a season-low 75 points.

-- JONATHAN FEIGEN
Because of a schedule that calls for seven games in 10 days, the Rockets have been unable to find time to practice.

After the Rockets lost their eighth straight game Thursday, coach Rudy Tomjanovich said the combination of a losing streak and no practice is taking its toll.

The Rockets did not practice Friday, leaving around 1 p.m. for Minnesota.

"What you really need at these times is a good practice," said Tomjanovich. "You need to work on some things and get your confidence back. We haven't had any time to do that. We've had to travel almost every day.

"As a coach, these are the moments when you really want to have a good practice. I could go out and give them some things to make them feel more secure. But we're going to have to do it like we've been doing for a long time ... video tapes and talk about it and just go from there."

The Rockets play tonight in Minnesota and Sunday in Detroit. They'll be able to

Coach Sneaks made me run some stairs after those two 1/2 point covers last night. Coach "S" demands better play outa his team than just doing enough to barely getting by.

---------------------------------------------

Tonight's contribution to the team effort:

Celtics -8 at the Bulls

-I like Boston over 23'for the 1st period.

-Last night Paul Pierce spent the equivalent of an entire period on the bench during the 2nd half of the Suns "dogfight" due to foul trouble. He should be fresh at least early on tonight.

-The Bulls defense of the last two games has been about like the BYU kick and punt coverage today.

-The Celts won the last meeting on 11/2 in....Boston....96-82. The Celtics scored 23 in the 1st period of that game.

-Think'n the Celtics come out with energy early before weary legs catch up with them later during the game.

-Hoping Coach "S" covers with the Bulls +8 but see the Celtics launch out of the blocks early on.

Back with more at halftime. ez

What is going on in the Orlando/Atlanta game? Line is now Orlando -3.5.

[Washington/Dallas]
Definitely Dallas -10! Also, consider Dallas at -5.5 1H.

Be back with update on this game...

Chicago looks like a trap game for boston, there not as bad as some of there losses but there not nearly as good as there 6 straight wins would make you think. Now there coming off a tough ot fight to go to chicago where chicago has found a way to win 3 games this year. Im certainly not taking chicago but I am far from convinced that boston is ready to win game like this in this spot by a large margin....

Taking off my play on Dallas due to D. Nowitzki's absence. The line opened at Dallas -11. Now it's at -10.5. Dirk is worth only half a point? Dallas might still win by double digit, but I'm going to wait for another opportunity.

Best of luck to all...

Willams hitting 1 of 4 free throws at the end of the 1st made the Celts over 23' interesting.

---------------------------------------------

Anyway, for the 2nd half ya have to like the Bulls at +1/2 2nd half.

Dumb play at the end of the 1st period was a 5 pt. turm around.

Celts raining in threes......and......acting like this is a cake walk tonight.

See a "Bull Run" sometime during the 2nd half. Celts win by less than 13.
