Just made the decision yesterday that I'm packing the family up and moving to Fort Worth, TX for a great new job.

I have a few old friends in Dallas, not much in Fort Worth.

Will be moving later this summer, but trying to gather up and devour as much information as I can in the coming weeks. If anyone is local down there, would appreciate a chance to pick your brain with a phone call or two in the coming days.

Welcome to TX :0008

Been here in Dallas for about 12 years. I honestly dont know much about Ft. Worth. Been to the downtown area a few times and its pretty cool but other than that I dont have much info. I can tell you to get ready for the heat. Hits about 100 in July and stays that way till September. The upside though is its golf and outdoor weather about 10 months out of the year:toast:

The northwest side of Ft Worth is really nice. Justin area. Rolling hills. Beautiful place. Not sure about the schools.

yea, spur of the moment decision too. very few times in life will a unicorn shit a rainbow in your lap.. and when they do, you need to be willing to pack up and chase the dream.

That's Northwest ISD. Not a bad district. Only problem with Justin is proximity to stores, shopping, pretty much everything except the race track, that's good and close. They did open a bar on main street next to the masonic lodge and feed store.
