Charging no juce on games.. except for hockey and baseball... I have never used this guy but I know who he is.. Has been doing this for a long time but has lost many clients to over seas acoounts. Says he will charge no juice on all NBA, NFL, and hockey/baseball over/unders.. This sounds like a good situation for me.. Can this book survive without the juice?? I bet he can, but this gives me a great middles opportunity as well with the less juice.. This guy puts out a sheet on Thursday for football and by the time saturday and sunday come there are always a game or two that have changed enough to middle..

heck yeah he can make money, people will bet exotics, I like the idea of having 2 books, I only have betjam, to bet middles, I have never dealt with a bookie directly, I have only bet online, but I think he still can make money most people who bet eventually lose

As long as his collections are good he can. I can guarantee you if you start winning you won't get to play with him for long. I think it's a great idea for a book to get business, lets face it most people don't have the proper management to win money. Even if they can hit over 50%, they'll screw it up with bet sizes, parlays and teasers.

On the course!
I know a local book who:

  • Takes the closing line from a certain site
  • Moves that line up to the next zero on the fav, and down to the next zero on the dog
  • Charges 20% juice on O/Us
  • Makes you pay the juice on a push

And, I know people who STILL use him!

There are no local books who take exotics.. Only on the Super Bowl.. Most won't even take parlays greater than 6 teams in fear of getting crushed.. Just straight wagers on sides and totals...

I like parlays:)

Guess I'm an idiot:142smilie

Also......if every gamble on earth was 50/50 still the vast majority will lose. You could win 50 straight coin flips and bet 10 dollars per coin flip. Then on the 51st coin flip you bet 5000 bucks on tails and it comes up heads. You lose, get the idea.

Always makes me laugh when people pay so close attention to "juice" and "odds", I mean you could have a bookie that would give you +105 odds on every sporting event on the planet yet if you bet 10 bucks on 95% of the games and then "blow your wadd" on the other 5% then the "juice" really didn't mean that much now did it, you lost:)

Obviously if "team A" is say -110 "everywhere" and you can get "team A" at +100 then sweet. And let us say you can always get "team A" at +100 and everyone else can only get "team A" at -110. You can very well be the one who has lost the most money. You can have a 95% win percentage and still lose it all.

I am talking parlays by saying exotics, can you bet the moneyline +or- with your guy? I like betting the underdog and ml too sometimes instead of a parlay

In my case it is 10% less losses or more winnings.... Now on the other hand this gives me a great opportunity to middle during the football season.. I guess as to my question, there is no doubt that this book will come ahead in the long run otherwise he wouldn't be doing it..

bleed......

My only point was that money management is way more important then "juice/odds", that's all I meant.

Damn right odds are important, be kinda tough to set a line with no odds:mj07:

And don't get me wrong I'd love to play a point spread selection where odds were $2.00 (+100) on both sides, that would be sweet:SIB

Bleed, I wouldn't worry about trying to middle too much. It's not worth the small amount you could win or lose. Just because he doesn't charge juice doesn't mean you can't lose. If the majority of your losses are with your offshore or other book then you will end up losing. I doubt enough games hit in the middle to make it worth your time.

If your local is only doing this for O/Us but not hockey and baseball, it's not that big of an exposure in the grand scheme of things.

With software available now, a local should take every exotic out there.

The Short answer is YES
