He definately starts . It looks like Italy will be playing 3 at the back and pushing Maldini into left midfield also. Best of luck today.

Antonio....Here we go!

Antonio....Here we go!

I'm happy to see Italy advanced, but I must admit that we do have alot of problems to solve, especially with the mid-field. What is wrong with the coach and their tactics? The tactics and formation that helped them un-beaten in the qualify group. Is the injurie of Albertini made the coach to play with 4-4-2 (they played 4-3-3 today) instead with 3-4-1-2? Hope Italy will go back to the same formation that got them here. I guess we have to root for USA to beat Poland tomorrow to win that group and play us in second round. That would help alot since we do not want to play Portugal , could be alot of problems since Portugal are so strong in mid-field.

Andy congrats to us..Italia getting no respect, but shhh its better that way amico;) Mexico was very impressive, and they've had a great tourney so far for a team that barely squeaked into the WC. Albertini was a huge loss on the midfield, now people realize he was the glue, and did all of the little things. Spero che Trapattoni goes back to the old line. Totti showed me nothing today. Hes more worried about them Korean woman than playing the game. We always look like shit in the first round Andy..always remember that. There midfield is suspect which is scary. But for those guys in here to consider italia lucky can kiss my ass. Actually Mexico should be thanking them refs for giving the game to croazia, or else we would have had first place based on GD. Could care less who we play in the 2nd round, gotta beat the best to be the best. I think we'll be ok. Crazier things have happened, but we'll let everyone else put us down for our CHEAP TACTICS, WHINING AND BORING play. People still forget that The italians league is still the best LEAGUE IN THE WORLD, its our fault for letting these foreigners even play in our league. About 20% last more than a season, and the few that do make it in italy, are the stars for there national team. So let em talk. Congrats Andy, by the way what part of italy are you from?

Antonio...

Antonio...

Thanks, Yeahh congrats to us Italian Fans. By the way I'm from California, USA , but been a die hard fan of Italy since 1990 , the year when the Pony Tail Roberto Baggio scored the goal of the tournament against the Czech when he dribble from the midfield all the way to score the goal. Yes, that is true, Albertini is the last puzzle of the 4-3-1-2 formation, he's the kind of player provides and helps doing all the little works, he's an unsung hero of the Italian Team. The game agaisnt Mexico showed how much they have missed him. Yes, yeah right, let's them all talk about how cheap and boring Italian soccer is, it's their opinions and I really don't care about debating or arguing with them. But I really feel bad cause they don't know Italian Soccer have produced many many stars in Defenders and Strikers!!! Say what they like to say, but that is the fact. Many Strikers have successed in other leagues (English Premier, Spanish La liga, Bungesliga, Scotish ) , but not in Italian Serie A because of the top defense. Gotta go Antonio, take care and best of to all of us Italian fans.
