So, he bought an "extra" seat on the plane for his kid that is under 2 years old so they could put him in it in a car seat in it.....but Delta oversold the flight and gave it away. And they are saying that's not legal, anyway so he has no beef?

Ahh, okay. Sticky situation. Don't they have a policy to allow obese people to buy multiple seats? It seems like there should be some version of that for anyone that wants extra room, or whatever they want to use it for.

Huh? They bought the seat for the baby to sleep in during the flight. He said that's the only way the kid would sleep. No problem on the flight out to California on the same airline. Then, they wanted to give that seat to somebody else because they over booked. Then there were no options, get off the plane.

Okay, you're right but he sent his son home on another flight so the baby could sleep on this flight because it was a red eye flight.

That's a nightmare trip as it is, flying back to the east coast from Hawaii.

I will absolutely never go back to Hawaii because of the flight.
