World Hockey Championships: I wrote about a page on my picks, and then my computer crashed..I'm not doing it again..here are my picks:

#1 Russia -1.5 (-145) over Switzerland

#2 Sweden -2.5 (+115) over Latvia

#3 Canada/Belarus Over 5.5 (-140) - I figure about 5-2 Canada

#4 USA -2.5 (-125) over Denmark - that's right Denmark. USA doesn't have a strong team, but DENMARK??

Check the rosters at www.iihf.com. Lines I used are at Olympic...games start early today.

Games are in Finland, they ave agood team Selanne, Koviu, etc. Sweden will be strong, Sundin, Forsberg etc.

I'll try some of that Sweden line. I'd imagine that the Swedes will get some good fan support up in Scandinavia.

I didn't mean support from Fins. I expected some Swedes to make the short trip to Finland for the games. Maybe tickets are too tough to come by, not sure.

swedes have a lot of tickets to games that are played in Turku,
there is a ferry connection between Turku and Stockholm.

in the other hand if swedes play against russians we will give all support to swedes.

don't know yet if i'm going to see any games, sportsbar are much better places to watch games, even you have to check the score from tomorrows newspapers :toast:
