Outright plays (1 unit):

Lorie Kane to win 25/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Last year this event was played two weeks after the British Women's Open and Annika Sorenstam won. This year it is a week earlier and the defending champion is absent and it would also be understandable if last week's contenders failed to raise their game this week, particularly Karrie Webb. This should not be a problem for Kane who is playing in her national Open. She also missed the cut last week, which may be a blessing in disguise. Her early season form appears to be returning - she finished 4th in the Wendy's Championship for Children two weeks ago - and with a top-3 finish last year, albeit on a different course, she shouldn't be lacking motivation this week.

Michele Redman to win 33/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes (.5 units to win & .5 units to finish in top-5)
Redman also appears to be focused on this event. She decided not to play at Turnberry and that is the best preparation for this week! She has a been in excellent form this summer with six top-10 finishes in her last nine events and has finished the last three events 8th, 6th, 4th. She is available at half this price elsewhere.

Beth Daniel to win 33/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes
While this will be the fifth straight LPGA event that Redman has been selected as an outright play, it will be Daniel's third and they have been a rather profitable pairing over the past month. Unlike the others, she did play last Sunday, but although she finished 16th, she was never really in contention. But did maintain her very impressive season: she has finished in the top-25 in 12 of 14 starts this year, including three top-5 finishes in her last seven events. In this form, she should be able to maintain her game as long as the wind and cold of Ayrshire have not destroyed her swing and forecast for thunderstorms do not play havoc with this event.

Final update: 1-2; +0.80 units

Kane 8th
Redman 2nd
Daniel 11th

Good event, but only a small profit at the end of it. Kane left herself too much to do on the last day and she finished two shots out of a top-5 place, while Daniel was on the fringes of a top-5 place throughout. Could have been a great event, but Redman dropped shots on the 16th and 17th and finished three shots behind Meg Mallon. Encouraging, if not that profitable.

Congratulations on yet another bush winner DTB :toast:

Pretty sure Bauer didn't even fire a shot ... you should get your money back on that one ;)

BTW Five Dimes are very quick to pay out. Had the money from this event a few minutes after the conclusion and had the Lehman/Eklington matchup settled when they had completed 72 holes, well before the PGA Championship had finished. Very impressive :)

I 2nd your kudos to 5dimes Stan especially since they have went to top 5's as "THE" premier golf out.
One does need to check gradings each week as I just discoered error for 3rd week in a row.

HARRINGTON (TOURN) -110 D.LOVE III (TOURN) $55.00 $50.00 T $55.00 $0.00

However I would like to note their errors are not one sided as I have had several incorrectly graded in my favor as well.
