Canadien Football League Week 15

If the football is being played north of the border that has to mean the big St. Bernard?s are barking like crazy. The underdogs once again took home the money, cashing three of the four games. The lone road dog was good, taking astonishing record to 20-9 ATS and two of the home dogs drank from the winners bowl. Oddsmakers are having trouble setting numbers low enough, as the Under was 4-0 (fifth straight winning week), raising season mark to 32-20, 61.5 percent. Odds courtesy of Sportsbook.com.

Friday, October 9

British Columbia at Edmonton (-4, 53)

Edmonton (6-7, 4-9 ATS) has really hit the skids, losing four of last five to fall into last place tie with British Columbia (6-7 SU& ATS). The Eskimos third-ranked offense only mustered 17 points at Winnipeg in loss and they will be challenged since they are 3-12 ATS playing against a team with a losing record over the last three seasons.

The Lions breathed some life back into their season with clutch 19-16 win against Saskatchewan and they will look for consecutive wins for the first time since early August. B.C. is 8-1 ATS as a road underdog over the last two years.

The loser could fall two games behind in the chase for playoffs with just four to play after this contest. British Columbia won earlier at Edmonton 40-22, but is 3-8 ATS there otherwise.

Saturday, October 10

Toronto at Saskatchewan (-10, 49.5)

The Roughriders (7-6, 8-5 ATS) loss dropped them out of first place tie; however, they have the right opponent to get them back on the winning track. Toronto (3-10, 5-8 ATS) has lost eight of nine, despite ranking second in total defense. That pretty much tells the story of an abysmal offense, with the Argonauts 10-20 ATS in all games since last season.

Saskatchewan will look to quarterback Darian Durant to return to winning ways and they are 14-3 ATS off a close road loss by three points or less since. The Roughriders are 10-1 ATS in home games versus awful passing teams averaging 6.9 or less passing yards per attempt, yet are only 2-3 ATS hosting the Argos.

Monday, October 12

Calgary at Montreal (-6.5, 51)

Monday is Thanksgiving Day in Canada and the first game of the day features the division leaders. Montreal (11-2, 8-5 ATS) has already wrapped up the East and has a four game winning streak to boot. The Alouettes wouldn?t mind sending a message should these teams meet in the Grey Cup and is 5-2 ATS off a cover.

Calgary (8-5, 5-8 ATS) has made a charge in taking over first place in the West, winning four of last five. The Stampeders offense has continued to stammer, but the defense keeps forcing turnovers by the opposition. For this contest, that might not be positive since Calgary is 4-16 ATS after three consecutive games with a turnover margin of +1 or better.

The Stamps have the motivational edge, still fighting for division title and they are 4-1 ATS at Percival Molson Stadium.

Winnipeg at Hamilton (-6.5, 47)

The final game of the holiday has taken on greater importance with Hamilton?s slide. The Tiger-Cats (6-7, 9-4 ATS) have lost three of four, with offense in the tank having scored 17 points per game in this stretch. About the only good news is Hamilton is 7-0 ATS after scoring 14 points or less last game.

Winnipeg?s last two victories have brought them within a game of the Ti-Cats and the Blue Bombers (5-8, 7-6 ATS) could be tied for second place with a win. QB Michael Bishop has added a spark to team that is 8-1-1 ATS against club with a losing record.

These teams rank sixth and seventh is points scored in the CFL this season and they are 9-4 UNDER when playing in Hamilton.
