Saskatchewan at Montreal (-12.5, 54)
Montreal (6-1, 5-2 ATS) has opened up a two-game lead in the East, winning in dominant fashion. The Alouettes have won their six contests by 24.1 points per game. Quarterback Anthony Calvillo continues to lead the league?s best offense at 415.7 yards per game. He will face a Saskatchewan pass defense that is among the best in the CFL; however, Montreal is 11-2 ATS at home vs. passing defenses allowing 6.9 or less passing yards per attempt.
Saskatchewan (4-3, SU&ATS) had an up and down game last week against Hamilton, before finally pulling away 33-23, as 4.5-point home favorites. The Roughriders defense really stood up last week, holding the Ti-Cats to 242 yards and forcing four turnovers. Saskatchewan is third in total defense (351.7 YPG) and is 8-1 ATS in road games after outgaining opponent by 70 or more total yards in their previous contest.
Montreal is the decided favorite and they have covered seven of its last 10 home games. The Roughriders had a rough ride against Montreal earlier, losing 43-10 at home. Over the last three years, Saskatchewan has been a revenue generating wager at 15-6 ATS on the road, but is 1-4 against the spread in last five visits. The last nine meetings between these teams have played Under at Percival Molson Stadium.
Winnipeg at British Columbia (-7.5, 50)
It?s starting to really appear it going to be a long season in Winnipeg (2-5, 4-3 ATS), having lost four of last five. Michael Bishop was brought in to help the Blue Bombers languishing offense, but his rust showed against Montreal, as Winnipeg totaled only a dozen first downs and the same number of points. The Blue Bombers have only passed for over 200 yards once this season and have to find a way to establish a threat thru the air or they will fall to 7-15 ATS after playing a game at home.
British Columbia (3-4 SU&ATS) has won and covered two in a row and could start to feel good about themselves with another triumph. The Lions engineered a furious fourth quarter rally against Toronto last week, scoring 22 points in the final stanza. Jarious Jackson led the charge throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns. B.C. normally plays well this time of year (20-6 ATS in August) and this game takes on greater importance with a bye week coming followed by home and home with Montreal.
Winnipeg is 2-5 SU and against the spread at British Columbia in its last seven visits, nonetheless the Blue Bombers are 6-2 ATS after a loss.
