I have a C class Mercedes and one thing about them is you can only put Mercedes parts on them and they can only come from a dealership when repairing... the only place you can save any money is on labor from authorized repairs shops that reset the computer ... dealer service here is $215 an hour but I get my done at a shop that charges $90 BUT they still have to go get the parts from the dealership! so maintenance is very HIGH .... BUT mine has only been in shop twice in over 2 years and once was my fault:facepalm:

good luck :0074

The caddy will be cheaper to maintain. Certain BMW repairs can only be done by a dealer or high end garage that specializes in German imports. If you feel that you just have to get in the S500 I would advise that you finance a good extended warranty into the deal.

Been there done that and it saved me a couple K over the long run
