I took my daughters 97 Jeep Grand Laredo for it's State Inspection yesterday. The truck has 128,000 miles on it and the last work done on it had the battery replaced about 6 months ago.

Everything was ok with the car except it failed because they could not do the emmisions test because the on board computer needs to be reset.

The mechanic says the only way to reset the computer is to ride for about 100 miles or so at 60 to 65 mph.

I think I could talk myself into a run to Foxwoods but will this reset the onboard computer?

Will disconnecting the battery for a short time reset the computer?

Stevie you are 100% correct, a trip to Foxwoods will work. You will need to let the car cool down for about 48 hours in the "Woods"parking garage. After 48 hours it's recommended a quick jaunt to the "Sun".

If it doesn't reset once you get to the "Sun" leave the car in the back parking lot, keys in with engine running, head into the Casino.

Enjoy your stay! :toast:
