I know some people get off of the whole "art of the deal"...but I can't be the only one who despises dealing with car salesman. The whole process is just stupid. I will hand it to them, the internet- it makes you think you can find out more information, but they just overwhelm buyers. "Invoice", incentives, dealer holdbacks, MSRP, true market value, true value price, etc. Even if I got a good deal it's hard not to leave feeling like you just got sodomized.

I was dealing with a local guy online and went in to test drive today. He had thrown out a pretty good number as a starting point. When I got done with the test drive I realized the fucking car had 750 miles on it. Nooooo, he didn't volunteer that information. I had to waste my time and notice it myself. Makes me paranoid for every other car about shit I'm supposed to discover on my own instead of them just being straight from the start. It's no wonder places like Car Max are successful. Even if you overpay there you don't have to deal with these jackoffs!!!!

A friend of mine always says about buying a car: "If you leave with the car on your first visit, you've lost"
