SAN DIEGO CHARGERS -3 ? San Diego is the type of team that likes to win in the pre season, especially here at home where they are 13-5 S/U since 1993. They were 3-1 last pre season, with the only loss coming at Arizona vs. these Cardinals, so they may be looking to return the favor. The fact that Doug Flutie and Drew Brees are fighting for the starting QB position should keep both of these men motivated, so I expect San Diego to have some success in the air in this game. The Cardinals have no semblance of a running game, which should make them relatively easy to defend. The defection of Michael Pittman means that the hitherto disappointing Thomas Jones inherits the starting job, and he is backed up by some no-name free agents.

Hey Eugene, You need to factor in Martys preseason tendencies also, I had him as my H.C. last year in Wash. -- He went 0-4.

is the only reason i`m not takin` off the rubberband here....plummer will play at most, the 1st qtr...then you`ve got chuck greissen?(no,not commedian chuck dreesen) and then probably rookie josh mccown(no nfl experience after greissen-and who the hell is greissen).....the chargers counter with a starting qb duel between flutie and brees(brees finished strong last year)and follow with very experienced cfl vet dave dickenson......san diegans are home.....marty makes me leary ,though....

"A team that Likes to win preseason" this is the only time of the year I think the cards actually get up for games they treat preseason likes its their playoffs or something. I think Sd beat them up pretty good last preaseason though. Tough call either way but good luck.
