I thought for a second this was Pitino vs Tubby. But I guess we have to wait a few months.
Never the less the Cards are the favorites with the pigskin.
Cards defense is good. One of the best in the country. With almost everyone back and two 1st round NFL picks in White and Floyd.Lyr's defense shuts people down and makes big plays.BYU was No.1 in the nation and the cards just dominated.
UL has won the last 3 vs Kenty[ats also].Lyr 36-10
Ragone is 20-5 as the QB and has a cannon.Cards lost OL and a standout WR.But their offense is still potent.
If this OL practices everyday vs their defense when they line up today vs the Cats DL it should be such a drop off in competion.
UK's defense is the problem here. They have 4 starters back from one of the worst defenses in the SEC.They gave up 38,43,42,42,44,and 36 to UL lyr.Oneee of the worst in pass D and scoring D in the nation.
UK offense has a solid QB in Lorenzen. In fact the last half of the season their offense woke up.Pinner est. himself as a good RB and they went on to go 5-1 ats.
This 12 pts spread is the largest by far since these 2 teams stated playing each the past 8-10 yrs.

But the Louisville defense has so much speed and depth that they should shut down Lorenzen and co.UL offense with Ragone should be able to pick apart UK defense. So what if 4 O-linemen have to be replaced.Ragone will have protection and throw some bombs.Lyr he threw an 80 yd TD vs Kentuckey in the 1st minut of the game.UL gained 588 yds vs UK.
I think today he wants to improve on that. GL

Box,
Congrats on a real good day yesterday!
I'm not so sure Kentucky...losing all those D players is a negative
for them. ( they were bad)
Just gotta love Ragone + co. in this spot.........should be at least as effective as last year when he threw for close to 400 yds vs Kent.

Kid from Kentucky can throw also but seems overmatched here..........If Louisville doesnt shoot themselves in the foot (penalties etc..... 122yds last year) they should win this and cover comfortably.
