Chris Weinke is shown as probable at this time. Ther have been only three teams in the NFL that have been favored only one time this year, now there is #4.
Carolina had been a -3 fav earlier in season
loser 14-17 both su and ats.
Dallas -3 vs Washington 9-7 su winner but ats loser.
Washington -8? vs dallas last week. su loser and of course ats.
Season results 1-2 su for only time favs and 0-3 ats. I believe all three were at home in this unique scernerio.
Carolina has played some relative close games at times this year, why not in this spot with Buffalo. Buffalo is only 6-5 ats as a dog teased, how can they have value as a fav. Dog in Carolina games is 10-3 ats as a dog teased, plus carolina has played NO two close games, and NO creamed Buff in their home opener. Playng the Panthers +3? and will have teased somewhere, believe me.

I think Carolina has an excellent chance to win this game straight up. They have been in many of the games this season, and I can't remember the last time I saw a team looks as bad as they did on Sunday night. I think there is excellent value getting the hook on 3
Good luck

I agree on Carolina. Many bettors will miss a good opportunity here because they see bad SU records; the Panthers have had 6 losses by 4 pts or less to the Saints (twice), Washington, San Fran, the Jets and Atlanta. Of those teams, only Washington (at 5-6) is below .500. Caro wins outright.

Granted Carolina is better than the Bills be careful teams that get blown out one week always come back with a MUCH MUCH BETTER EFFORT. Either way it could come down to the wire, but if you lose you'll ask yourself why the**** did I bet on these garbage teams.

Win or lose, I will not regret my Carolina play. This isn't college, where teams toss in the towel completely. There's too much money at stake and guys still have to play for contracts. The best bets are usually the result of misleading SU win/loss records.

This is Buffalo's week.

1. Bills got humilated by 49ers. if they have any pride and play hard ( i think they will, see below) they should get a chance to take it out on a team with little left to offer.

2. Carolina has played good teams tough but go on the road for 2nd stright week, have an injury list a mile long, play under some cold and snowy conditions, and have little to play for against a non-divisional opponent with who they have no history.

3. panthers playing for a lame duck coach ( Seifert will not be around next year and players know it) while Williams will be back for the Bills. Bills players know they have to give a good effort at this point of the season because jobs for next year are on the line and williams will be the one doing the deciding. Seifort will not be making these decisions for the Panthers so players will be motivated to playing all out in a mean nothing game.

3. bills are desperate for a home win. have not won at RWS since last October. Fans have still been coming out in the 70,000+ numbers (Bills fans are die hard). Bills have been talking about paying back the fans this week for their support.

4. Weather will be cold and snowy. We got about 6 inches of snow in Rochester ( 60 mile east of Buffalo). This should be a culture shock to Weinke, who is use to playing in nice weather his whole life.

5. Bills defense did not play bad aginst 49ers until game got out of hand and some turnovers gave 49ers short field.

6. Bills O-line is healthy and these guys are assured playing for a spot next year. They should be able to handle the Panther defensive line and get some running room today.

7. This line has panthers written all over it based on past performance. I would buy down to 3 just to be safe but think the Bills win by 10.

8. I know that people feel Bills have quit since losing game to Miami but i disagree. They had a tough road game in SF where they did not perform well but i saw no indication of quit in them. They got beat by a much better team who was sparked by a great performance by hearst. Two ints. by Van pelt while he was pressing turned it into a rout. Bills can not afford to quit on Williams because jobs are in jeopardy. They will play hard today.

Bills have more to play for here. Home game against team traveling for second week in row, opponent very beat up, weather is too their liking, and fans will still turn out.

Bills 17 - Panthers 7

Have decided to pass on the su play at +3?, but still have teased at +9?. Lot's of numbers/trends lean to Carolina, except one, and that is on the turf numbers. Will tease but pass su.

Cant go by the blow out we will be back next week. To many teams and you can look at history. If they loose big one week they have done so second week. Its about 50/50 on that. I agree many other better places to look this week then this game. But if playing it you must take points. Buff does not deserve to be fav over anyone. Not even Cinn or Carl. Same goes for Cinn and Carl. So if one of these plays each other and you get 3.5 points for the dog. Well sure cant play the fav. I'll go dog or just watch. Better yet if it was only game I could watch I would take a nap. 78000 seat stadium and they hope they get 58000.

RSW holds 80,000. Attendance will be down because of the snow and sudden cold weather.

Same view can be held about carolina. most are backing them be because they played tough against some divisional foes. But how many times have we seen a team play a division foe tough and them go on the road to a non-conference foe and not play with same intensity?

Just heard Williams pregame show and he likes what he saw in practice this week. he gave them Monday and tuesday off and they came to practice hard rest of the week.

-Weather will be NO factor today. It is wet on the ground-but Sunny and chilly-no snow expected. Great day for football.
Crowd will be NO factor-over 25,000 empty seats expected on Marv Levy day. They actually reduced the capacity last year when they added more luxury crap. Att guess 45000
I look for a big game from Van Pelt and Moulds. Henry will also be a key if they give him the BALL!!
The last home game out-they had the Dolphins Beat and handed them the game. If that intensity shows up-they will CRUSH Carolina-but the mistakes have been too costly. I would love the game at -3--extra hook has me scaling bak down just a bit.

Good info guys...however, I believe Dallas has been favored more than once this year. I think they were 3 point chalk vs. Skins in forgettable MNF(W 9-7) and also vs Az at home(W 20-3). Thanks and good luck!
