Cash in as Tiger Woods shoots for 2008 Grand Slam
Tiger Woods is hotter than ever and betED.com is giving PGA Golf betting fans a chance to cash in on his success.
betED.com is taking wagers on how many Major tournaments Woods will win this year, and whether or not he?ll win all four Majors, otherwise known as golf?s Grand Slam.
Tiger Woods Prop Bets include +150 moneyline odds to win one Major in 2008, +250 to win two, +500 for three, and +750 for the 2008 Grand Slam. Odds for Woods not winning a Major in 2008 are +300.
Golf bettors can also wager on whether Woods will win the Grand Slam with a simple yes (+850) or no (-2000).
Woods, 32, has said he is gunning for the first modern-era Grand Slam this season and, to that end, he?s taking two weeks off following this weekend?s World Golf Championships-CA Championship to prepare for the first Major of the year, the Masters Tournament at the famed Augusta National Golf Club on April 10 to 13.
Woods, who has won the past seven events he has entered, is the three-time defending champion of the World Golf Championships event, and has won the tournament a total of six times.
Starting Monday, Woods will skip U.S. PGA Tour events in New Orleans and Houston. He plans to spend the start of next week playing at Isleworth Country Club, his home course in Orlando, Florida. And at some point in the next 10 days, Woods will make a trip to Augusta to play a practice round before the Masters.
Woods said this week he's not focused on trying to break Byron Nelson?s record of 11 straight PGA Tour wins, accomplished in 1945. He said he'd rather win his fifth Masters title.
Woods became the only player to hold all four major titles at the same time when he captured the 2000 U.S. and British Opens and the PGA Championship before winning the Masters the following April.
Woods, who tied Ben Hogan with his 64th career title last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, has won 13 majors.
