1/2 unit E/W @ 365
Kuwabara Katsunori 100/1

Something looks suishi (fishy)here. With all similiar names maybe I got wrong player or odds--but I'm reasonabaly sure I am correct.

Is this same player that only missed 1 cut in 25 events with 17 top 25's and 10 top 10's on Japan tour this year??????

Nice find DTB :thumb:

Outright plays (1 unit):

Shingo Katayama to win 12/1 e.w. @ Paddy Power
This has the look of a regular Japan Tour event and so siding with two of the Tour's best players who won eight Japan Tour events between them last year. Last week's 21st place finish was only the second time in nine events that he had finished outside the top-8 and that run includes victory in the Suntory Open. Twice he has finished in the top-5 in the last three years and he looks good for a repeat performance this year.

Toshimitsu Izawa to win 14/1 e.w. @ Ladbrokes
Hasn't had the explosive season he had last year when he topped the Japan Tour Money List, but he has played more often in international events this year. Nevertheless, his 25th place finish last week was only the second time in six events that he has finished outside the top-10 and he has an excellent record on this course: two top-3 finishes in the last three years. Very hard to see neither Katayama nor Izawa securing at least a place win this week.

Katsunori Kuwabara to win 100/1 e.w. @ Bet365 and BetInternet
Staggering price when he is available at 33/1 at SkyBet or Ladbrokes. Like the other selections, he comes off an easy week, though still finishing in the top-25, in the high profile Dunlop Phoenix and had been in good form beforehand: he had had four top-10 finishes in his previous seven starts. It has been four years since his last win - the 1998 Japan PGA Matchplay Championship - but he is playing well enough to secure a top-5 finish, just as he did two years ago on this course.

Darn and I thought he was sitting in 8th but now I see it is Kawamura. Maybe the books grading these wagers have as hard as time as I do with these names and and grade us a winner if this one comes in. Hmmm @ 100/1 not gonna happen:rolleyes:

DTB, you should see the fun and games on the odds comparison sites...although Oddschecker struggles when you have two Mr Green's playing.....so it is not the unfamiliar names...

:D I know I sure struggle with these names. Thought about staying out of these tours all together but am curious to see how things go when dealing with just #'s and names with no faces.
Try to take element of emotion out in pga which is hard for most part, but these tours do that automatically,in the beginning anyway.

Mid-point update:

Izawa/Immelman Leads by 1

Katayama 13th
Izawa 9th
Kuwabara dnp

Should be a close event. All three players are on the first page of the leaderboard and could just as easily secure a sweep in the matchups and the outright as a blank.

Nice start to dealing with just #s and names DTB :)

Rain halts 3rd round of Casio World Open

Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 20:00 JST
KAIMON ? Organizers of the Casio World Open have shortened the 140 million yen tournament to 54 holes after heavy rain halted third-round play Saturday.

Play was suspended shortly after the first threesome finished the opening hole, forcing organizers to cancel the rest of the day's schedule at the Ibusuki Golf Club's Kaimon Course in Kagoshima Prefecture. (Kyodo News)
